I use the chain rifle version 90% of the time as they are cheap. With Desperadoes they either shine or die instantly so while I like using them I don't like investing much into them. I use the assault pistols over the SMG as I like to keep the DTW for dealing with bunched enemies as well as their primary use for me, killing TO/ODD stuff on the ground. Assault pistols are just as good or better than SMG most of the time anyway and allow the ability to shoot lots of dice if they dodge while still templating them if they shoot with better odds. For Mavs I use the SMG/Light Rocket as default and switch to boarding shotguns if I used more than 2. FOs for when missions need it.
And now you can add Dynamos in for mine dispenser, dogged, and regular nonimpetuous. It’s a little more expensive than the maverick, but the load outs are pretty different.
I was very surprised that Dynamos are Not Impetuous. Even the Aragoto and ZondNautica are Regular-Impetuous. Dynamos are the first bike units able to use cover!
