I love the Zulu Cobra design. The Grenzer looks amazing. Not sure about the Devas hair but the rest of the model looks fantastic and I’m sure it’ll look better painted (purple, of course).
Wow, this was a surprise. The sculpts look SWEET! The Orc is boss. Deva with that hair looks very AI, I like it. The securitate lady means business, damn fine. But the grenzer steals the show. Best sculpt IMO. The only thing I'm not fond is the Zulu Cobra's hexagon cape. Well, it will be easier to paint it. Egde highlighting will go a long way.
Varuna starter is unremarkable, except for HRL kamau. Deva spitfire is great. Where are my MSR and feuerbach in securitates? Why is there is a lone grenzer without any swc weapon? Lmfao from grenzers face. Like "when you see that crit at you from white noise". He also stands on tactical rock as sniper...
That was my first thought when I saw new Deva as well ;) Varuna starter seams a bit dull and poses are listless but I like all other minis. Nomads are stealing the show.
You joke, but I'm starting to wonder if CB might be moving into 'booster box' territory for the basic starter/sectorial sets.
Love the new Deva, even if she is rocking Team Rocket ;) Little bit odd for the Securitae box not to have the Feuerbach or MSR. Maybe there's some secret plan? With Grenzers counting as Securitae for fireteam construction maybe we will see another combined Grenzer/Securitae box? I wouldn't see that as a bad thing. I find that with the split of the boxes I often end up with figures that never hit the table (Im looking at you Vanguard K1 Sniper and Missile Launcher). I'd be more than happy to see more Starters + 'Beyond Box' + 'Booster Box', allowing you more variety of models without going balls to the wall like with the current infantry boxes.
I like these references. I don't need a whole box of Moderators that are Guardians necessarily, but Soldier 76 in the Varuna Starter and the Deva having Jessie's hair is a cool little touch!
I just wanna know - where's James? If Jessie's a Deva, James has got to be around here somewhere. Hmm... James was a rich kid who left his family when they tried to force him into an unhappy marriage, Dart is a rich kid who was given the opportunity to become a Posthuman in order to curry favour with her family... James for next Optimate Posthuman? Also, it's too bad a Spitfire Deva can't have a Devabot, or Jessie would always have one when I fielded her - it would be her loyal companion. On the other hand, if she could I'd have to decide which of her pokemon to convert said Devabot into. I expect Jessie (and James, if and when we get him) to wipe the floor with anything and anyone she encounters, until she runs into one of Tohaa's pokemon trainers, particularly if said trainer is the guy version that Spud turned into Ash. After all, whenever Team Rocket is not trying to beat Ash & friends, they are tremendously competent, and accomplish things you would swear no-one could, in so many different fields. They are masters of disguise, giant robot construction experts, elite combatants, peerless social engineers, five-star chefs, and a hundred other things. About the one thing they can't do is beat Ash - no matter what they do, he always comes out on top. Well, I guess he is the Chosen One after all - how many prophecies and the like has the kid been the subject of, again?
I think drop bear profile would be even better as all pokemon shaped drop bears could make attacks ;)
