And here is some proof together with the Starter This is Hype, especially since the Zulu Cobra has some sort of Camo/ODD. They also are somewhat of a Linetrooper as far as we have seen, so that isn't an AVA1 or 2 exclusive choice either.
Jammer is great news, though I still think it should be nerfed or costed appropriately. Zulu Cobras shape up to be a PanO counterpart to Grenzers, possibly with ODD/Limited TO Camo or something like that. The Feuerbach will require some conversion, and I'm really interested how the rest of the Kamau will arrive. box with HMG, Hacker, Paramedic, another Zulu Cobra? Or with ORC, if they'll be able to link together?
If that ZC is TO or Limited TO that’s one hell of a surprise ARO. Man it looks like Varuna is getting some serious love. I cannot wait for November now!

Jammer makes too much design sense in armies like Varuna and TJC. With low order count, high cost, you need an effective way to deny area and protect your DZ. But that does make me think Varuna's units are going to be every bit as expensive as TJC. Edit: just noticed the Cobra Zulu Spitfire also. Very nice... Looks like we have a complete picture of what the initial Varuna release will look like. Maybe it's just the group shot and the promise of Jammer, but for some reason I'm enjoying the group shot more than the individual renders. Can't wait to place my order.
It's in "Beyond Icestorm". Same with the Kriza Borac with MK12+SMG. They've made it seem like they've got no plan to get rid of "Beyond" stuff.
I did, as well as the fact that both Zulus have the same head, and one of them has a knife strapped to the leg (another one! for fuck's sake, what's next? Cutter with a knife?!)... This starter looks boring. Acon starter was cool, this one's not. It's a "eh, just some minis".
Besides knives strapped to boots, you know, there are... spare magazines (actually having more than one is... well... generally advisable), some people like their pistol holsters on the chest, breacher tools, tons of smaller stuff like bunches of plastic handcuffs strapped to a warbelt or plate carrier, custom foregrips, paired mags, sound moderators, shemaghs, reloading pose with mag in hand, reloading pose cocking the rifle's bolt... I dunno, is it so hard? Edit: OK, I might have been too emotional, but the thing is, no two troopers from the same unit should look exactly the same, just with different poses. I think there should be something... maybe spare bits or options to add some character to those minis.
Divers traditionally strap their knives on their ankles so that location makes sense for Aquatic units like the Kamau and Croc Men.
.... huh Well now that you mention it.... A Cutter with a Knife can Surprise Attack shiv people silently with CC18 DAM16 Shock. Don't know why but I want it now. Apart from the SWC cost for that starter I really like what is happening. LI Spitfire 1SWC, HI Feuerbach 2SWC, MSR 1.5SWC, Hacker 0.5SWC, HRL 1.5 SWC That's obviously before discounts and Crocs could get a 0SWC KHD. But even with that the starter is at least 6 SWC.
ZCs may well be Aquatic too. The other guys saw the Croc Men in action and want to be cool like them so copied their knife sheaths :P
Feuerbach could end up being 1.5 SWC. Though that doesn't change the overall feeling of "what the SWC??".
I actually quite like the Zulu Spitfire. It could have been braced a bit more against his rear leg but overall I don’t think it’s quite as wooden as it looks. Plus imma play the crap out of that profile if it’s anything like what I imagine it to be.
