I don't want to create a whole thread for this, so I'll ask for opinion around here : What would you guys think of the Lupe Balboa miniature as a DART Proxy ? Sure she does not have the bow, but the pose and CCW are "generic" enough that it would fit DART. I was thinking of having her painted with glowing eyes to represent the MSV.
I'm gonna use Andrómeda, with a salvaged arm from a Proxy Mk1 (as one cannot deploy both Mk1 simultaneously, her pieces are used in other models). Andómeda's already has some kind of visor, and she also has an SMG and a hooded cape with hexagons (you know, a cape with hexagons means camo or Mymetism). :p
I would use Andromeda as well, but it seems kind of a hassle to do the arm conversion. Plus I'd be buying an andromeda model for nothing :(
I understand, I bought her because it looked cool enought, but the profile is horrible and now it's just unpainted and picking dust. So, for know, I'll use her as Dart. In the future I plan to replace the robocat for some kind of mechanical octopus-like creature, if I find it somewhere.
Thanks for reminding me, i need to find a way to mod this, doubly so if i can make the critter jumping out of a briefcase as fluff demands, no idea if i have the skills though Edit: I too swear some fluff mentioned octopus or tentacles but haven't been able to find it. Maybe a compromise, Cetus getting out of the briefcase and looking vaguely tentacular before turning into the kitty. Again, i don't know if i have the skills to pull this off...
Yep, it was mentioned before while it was being sculpted, but it seems they discarded that idea. In fact I was tempted to convert something to look like the Guardians from Zelda Breath of the Wild, but with less bulky bodies... Maybe I could even use the suitcase I removed from my PanO HVT to do so... Damn you for making me want to purchase that mini to convert it!
Me likes. Now I'll have to find a justification to field two Deva Spitfires in OSS. I don't think it'll be difficult :D Also, Aleph vs. CA contest for the most alien hairstyle is officially on.
oooh, thats pretty sweet, the perfect pose for when my Deva gets into a close range pistol fight with an enemy (happens more than is logically possible). Not too sure about the hair, but that might be just the render making it look like a leech attached to her head.
The pose is great, but the hair is horrendous. Spoiler I thought Pokemon references were just for Tohaa...
Damn. That's an incredible sculpt for a model I almost never use. Hopefully link options will make her more attractive, because I'm probably going to buy this variant no matter how useful she is.
They will ;) And even now Deva Spitfire is awesome as a solo hunter, especially if your opponent uses a lot of troops with vis modifiers.
For once I agree with Stiopa on gameplay potential. Deva Spitfire is great backup assault piece. Especially if enemy has modifiers or you can provide Smoke.
in three words: red veil ninja, bonus track: if you swap heads with some mk1 proxy /chandra spec ops will get better than the limited gencon version.
I sure hope so. I can see her being a great addition in an aggressive Yadu link that you want rushing up the midfield, for when the HMG is out of effective range or there's camo on the field. Just a note, I really like how much she resembles the classic Deva art from early on in ALEPH's original release. The one where the Deva in question is checking on a bunch of Lhost pods with a pair of Devabots flanking her.
I would look inside "Green Stuff World" (google the store), they have a mold for making tentacles using greenstuff/milliput that go great with GW's themes or even the Matrix octopuses. She looks too Asura to me, frankly, and the hair looks horribly impractical. Her using a gun when she has a spitfire on the other hand is more than puzzling... I might wait and exchange her spitfire arm with the new Asura... Or the other arm, dunno. As for the hairstyle, she is Jessie from the original Pokemon series. We need now @Captain Spud to make some more pokemons!!! For some reason, in my meta people was surprised when the render was revealed, they are not used to see that profile (it's been some time since I took the walking fridges around, I spent most of last season on a non-ITS campaign using Nomads)
I find SWC weapon troopers fall back on their pistols quite often if you want to win a FTF ARO within 8".
Yeah, I've also figured she's in CQB and pistol is better. But here's a fun fact; neither old nor new Spitfire Deva actually uses the Spitfire.
