    Hi All

Pretty straightforward really, how do you deal with camo spam generally, and more specifically if playing phalanx. As far as I can see my only options are the bots, which require a hacker, or the agema with their msv.

A main opponent of mine plays vanilla Ariadna and is arriving with more and more camo. I find it incredibly difficult to deal with, especially at lower point levels and if there are mines - these are often laid in aro as I try to kill the discovered token or take out a previous mine. With the low order counts I spend most of my turn discovering and shooting mines as more just get laid down...

    Myrmidons and Myrmidon characters.

Get close, move+discover, then intuitive attack if they still aren't revealed.

Once revealed punch then in CC or continue blasting them with DTWs.

Beware of mines and Chasseurs, though a chain rifle Myrmidons can intuitive attack either from out of small teardrop range if you're careful. Most have a decent chance of just dodging a Mine too.

Sadly Steel Phallus don't hands a good source of Servant/Synchronised bots or perimeter weapons for mine sweeping, Patty can use his holoechos though.

Grab a cheap bot. 8 points at the most expensive, using the 3 points servitors is best.
Use the ol' Phoenix + Machaon + 2 16pts Myrmidons to shoot at the exposed enemies, or an Agema to shoot from under smoke, hunting (the mk12 Agema is surprisingly good for the cost, since the VisorX extends the reach A LOT). Then, send the remote to die for the cause, detonating as many mines as possible with a single move+move (do not fear to spend 1-2 orders to reach a point where he can zig-zag an get everything). Extra bonus if you can end in B2B with an enemy...

Once cleared (mines cannot "not explode"), advance and threaten with smoke and shoots. Remember, for ARO stuff the Smoke Special Dodge is a BS attack, so you can throw smoke with your myrms while Phoenix shoots...

You can leave the engaged state for free if the enemy goes null now.

But if you reach the enemy with still the second short order at hand... (granted, it was even better before).

I just assumed both MOV were used to get as many mines as possible.

Yup, it's the objective, but sometimes you will get the ones with just the first Move (you will have spent other orders to get there anyway). Surprisingly, I've dodged a fair amount of mines and Perimetral weapons with my remotes... (other times, it's just a Dakini charging and firing an enemy target while the poor bot gets blown to pieces... Be like water! XD)

    >REM fails dodge.
    >ARM rolls both Koalas anyways.
Sometimes I wonder why I take Moran.

I had good results with hammering camo stuff down with Ajax. He is quick and mobile, he can dodge or ARM away mines and turn all those nifty cowards in hiding to scarlet pulp. Yes, this approach is just as subtle as Ajax himself, but I haven´t encounterd any real threat to him in camo so far. Yes, there are camo hackers who might pose a threat to him or some Adhesive Launchers as well and Snipers are to be avoided. There is also no perfect plan and this one comes with a lot of destructive potential in CC, a lot of survivability, ARM 5, BTS 6, Burst 4 and the extra usefulness to fill up worn down Myrmidon links in later turns.
And: his silhouette allows him to just leap over obstacles, that block S2 troopers (like containers).
All this comes with an extra (Impetuous) order to power up this ramboing for only 39 pts. and 0 (zero!) SWC.

Whenever I know, I´ll be facing a lot of camo, I run Ajax to mob the floor with those in hiding. So far, he always at least removed 50+ pts. and some SWC from the table and made up for his cost.
This is great to disrupt my opponent´s game plan pretty well.
