I noticed this little trait on the wiki called "indiscriminate", is this on any weapons currently in the game? is it something left over from a previous edition?

Is there any possibility that we will see this trait on any future weapons?

    Detonate Kuang Shi does not.

That probably doesn't mean anything though.

I haven't encountered this in a game yet. Does it mean that deploying equipment with this Trait doesn’t provoke an ARO either against the equipment itself, or against the unit deploying it; or maybe something else altogether?

it means that whatever weapon it's on doesn't care about marker states or valid targets. its an interesting mechanic that I think we could see more of. there is some overlap with "targetless" and "intuitive attack" although if this were to be applied to a template weapon it would be better than those traits.

As far as I can tell, it’s just eliminating the requirement to declare an Intuitive Attack to place the deployable item if there’s a camo marker in the area. So the skill is an Attack (and generates AROs as such), but no WIP roll is done (so it’s not Face to Face against anything).

In other words, it’s there so that you can declare short skill or ARO Sniffer to place the sniffer marker where it’s going to affect a camo marker. Without that trait, you’d have to declare intuitive attack.
