What do you think of Aleph in the new ITS 10? As far as I see, steel phalanx may benefit hugely from it. All myrmidons are veterans... We have a bunch of characters Thorakitai got even better together with Agemas Achilles may be one of the few models able to pull off the "predator" classified consistently... I'm pretty excited! What about vanilla/vedic???
MK5 Forward observer is ascending to godhood at least, with getting Forward Deployment L2 and all that. Yadu forward deployment too, not sure how good that will be but that's interesting at least, getting all those MI perks but behaving like HI without any of the drawbacks of either. Not sure about some of those classified, i guess i can see Nagas getting ever more work i suppose?
OS will struggle with the CC related Classifieds - our only CC specialist will be Andromeda -_- Post-Humans probably the workhorses, able to complete virtually every classified that exists.
I'd say the title of this thread is misleading, since the last season analysis was called nearly the same as this one. If you want to discuss it, without providing any kind of analysis in the fist post, then please do note it in the title. Incidentally, I see that most of the thigs I said for ITS9 stay true, I still need to read in a detailed way the classified objectives deck, but for now the Thoraktai link and the mk5 Posthuman are going hard in the "this unit is *really*sweet for this ITS" along the older ones. Plus all characters becoming veterans makes tons of funny things happening: it's not like they needed extra ADL, but now Achilles can do A LOT.
I am a huge fan of smg Thorakitai in vanilla. They are perfect cheerleaders and now, with forward deployment, they are even more useful to cover units such as netrods or bots. My first command token is usually spent to coordinate them in suppressive fire. Lately I am playing very aggressive lists with cheap and expandable units. They are perfect in this role because they can be both defensive or aggressive pieces. Furthermore, during the second turn, I have often several units mid-table with few, but crucial, support units on the back. I cannot count the times that they saved the life of the latter! Tomorrow I will try for the first time an Agema mk12, let's see if it can repay its points.
Ummmmmm. Speaking of Netrods. in ITS10 I am no more obliged to find a place to fit the template, right? Just place the Netrod wherever I please and make the PH roll, right? (And chances are high the dispersion roll, too...)
AI Beacons are not troopers, they are equipment. Therefore, in my reading, they do not benefit from LANDING ASSISTANCE, as this rule specifically applies to troopers. I believe this is similar in resolution to how AI Beacons are treated in Biotechvore.
