BtB contact only! Real answer: Assuming no change to that portion of the rules was made by the ITS season modification.
either that or : all within a single template but now you don't need to make the template fit anywhere, so have one land on the roof and the other on the ground; or have two of them land on both side of the wall.
I'd argue that there is no Drop Zone anymore, since the template represents the Drop Zone and therefore you can deploy them anywhere.
Or on the other side of it, the drop zone is now the base meaning that you just can't land multiple troopers...
Indeed. There's no Drop Zone any more, but the Coordinated Order requirement of placing them all in the same Drop Zone hasn't been lifted. I can't see any way to argue for Coordinated Combat Jump in ITS10. Not that it was used very often due to the appalling Order inefficiency...
A large proportion of the time it's not even about interactions that are at all practical in most games.
If there is no such thing as a defined "drop zone" game term, then drop zone must simply refer to its common word usage meaning the whole board since that is where you are dropping your miniature...
There is no formal list of tags in this game, aside from the list of troops with the TAG cathegory XD
Jokes aside, Landing Assistance says "will not need to place the Circular Template to represent the Drop Zone" Not need does not equal must not and also "They can instead" Which is not the same as They must instead. And finally, this permission (to deploy on any flat surface) does not remove the permission the ruleset already gave you to use a Circular Template. You can opt to not use the landing assistance. Or at least you can opt to not use the replacement first paragraph but i think the second paragraph will still apply (cannot deploy inside a building that has a roof). As the second paragraph adds new restrictions to what the permissive ruleset already set in place without any option to ignore it.
Yes, because the Combat Jump rules define the template area as the Drop Zone. No template, no Drop Zone.
