As someone who almost always* plays TO MSR I'm amazed that Aleph players are soo spoiled that they discard amazing profile of Mk2 Sniper. *up to this one game where I thought I had TO MSR and we had to re-play whole one round during tournament
Errr. I didn't know Mk.II Sniper was less used. Nor Mk.IV. As for Mk.III, I guess it's the first unit we had our disagreements about. :D I still maintain it's useless SWC sink. 6-2 changed it a bit, but not really done anything to make it playable. It's like they tried making it different from Mk.IV HMG, but then just gave up halfway. It needs a movement skill or visual mod to be worthwhile. EDIT: Or some kind of grenades.
Hidden ARO monster that doesn't cost me an order to stay hidden, and doesn't lose me one when it goes down? Yes please.
I was hyped before Vedic was showed. Then overwhelmed when it was, then barely whelmed when I setteled down and had a good look at how it would play, then completely underwhelmed when I had a look back at what JSA, TAK & Tunguska got recently. Maybe it was whishfull thinking but I expected more than just optimised profiles (Yadu & shukra). DART really is the only winner here, but I could not bring myself to cough up 30€ for a single mini. I really expected to see a rework of Devas, Asuras, a new light TAG perhaps, and seeing all the original things we were showed lately (Puppets, AI bikes etc.) led me to believe we would get something out of the ordinary. I REALLY expected to seem some out of the box thing, or even to make use of some of the less used rules, like the su-jian transformation for example. If the new jumper rule for the dancers is just a passive / semi-passive buff to remotes this would have been one of the most lazy release this year (profiles wise, the minis are outstanding) I thought Nemo was just butthurt not to have things he expected, but I too feel really disapointed by vedic, and I don't think fireteam options will save that. then I guess I'm just butthurt too...
I believe we are seeing a minor renovation of profiles in November across the board. We could see some changes to the Asura and Deva then, I hope.
It will be. My guess is mayby Teutons will get something, and mayby Aquila will get something alongside NCO (plus PanO's Aleph loaned troopers). And if CB had smoked something and confused Seraph with Nomads's unit mayby it will have it's anchor problem removed.
CB has made it abundantly clear if you want to play interesting things (or everything and be good at it) you should play Nomads because they are cool. Or Ariadna I guess. If you chose another faction because you liked the minis, then you can get bent. Bonus points if you chose Yu Jing.
Really? Cos that is bs. The blue N on the calendar was for Sectorial release... not Sectorial reveals. JSA and Tunguska didn't have to wait 3 additional months.
Now I don't know how true it is, but apparently the idea was to allow more time for models to become available before the Sectorial's release. This decision wasn't made until later Tunguska, however, so TAK is in the same boat as well. Personally, I'd much rather have the rules sooner and proxy, if that's the reason.
Rules for JSA hit before their box release as well... So it doesn't make sense to me. Other armies still have missing profiles. NA2 factions were made available and they're also missing a substantial number of options.
That's a lame excuse, they just couldn't hit the deadline, that's all. It's not like it's the first time it happens.
Even if it is PanO only, the OS sectorial being released might include a few changes for existing units. JSA had some changes, Tunguska had some minor changes.
I wouldn't say that securitate rework was minor. This gives me some hope better devas. Asura is lost. They already gave her new profile and cost reduction but it isn't enough.
Not discard, no... It's just that the AHD profile covers the "TAG/HI link is coming" It's been said that the "across the board" is just forum rumours, sadly.
They reduced the overcost to be in line with the other profiles of herself... 2 points (the MULTI + H+ seemed to cost 10 whole points, for some reason...)
