Wasn't it rumoured to be a bike unit? It's symbol does scream "cavalry". What about Dresden?

 

There is probably Kazak Light Cavalry in the logo if I read it correctly from the low ress picture. So yes I would guess Bike unit. And since they have link team Duo I would say regular + impetuous.

Also in fluff to Mine Dispenser there is note to Kazak Light Cavalry I would not be surprised if they had option with Mine Dispenser:

The logo includes a horseshoe and crossed sabres, so light cavalry it is. I was wondering how bikes with Duo and AVA 5 will play out, Mine Dispenser will probably be a nice cherry on top.

 

I recall reading the desperados were supposed to be the original Commie biker unit. I would guess that they fit into that catagory. A light biker unit with some high damage weapons.

 

I am kinda dissapointed that vet kazaks can't link with line kazaks but I don't think that would be healthy for balance.

 

I would have assumed the line kazaks could form a core with a single Vet. That would have made sense to me.

 

Line Kazaks have special Fireteams, one of those could include a Vet.

 

Vet kazaks do not have a special fireteam rule. It is either 112 or voronin for kazaks and frotoviks.

I wonder if we will see new profiles for existing units.

 

With all the gift we get (and the few more to come), I don't feel like I need a super-line/vet kazak fireteam, so no regret on that side

 

Actually it was Irregular+Impetuose for USAriadna and Regular+Impetuose for kazaks. And during a time I feared they would put both in USARF and nothing for the descents of those who where famous horse riders.

 

With the release of TAK are we hopefully going to see a dire foes with a Kazakh spec ops character.
