Hey everyone: Went online to build some new lists for ITS 10 this evening and when I attempted to find the Druze Haris Profile it was... gone. I don't know if this is a glitch on my end or if the availability of that profile has changed. In fact - it looks as though a bunch of their options have been removed (no more sniper, lieutenant, or paramedic). Really hoping its just a glitch in the system as that would be a real loss to the faction. Anyone know anything about this?
The Druze Sniper, Haris, Paramedic and LT options are specific to the Druze Bayram Security list, it sounds like they were shown in Ikari by mistake. P.S. Welcome to the forum!
Thank you. IJW - is this a recent change? They have been available since the lists appeared on army and (at least) the PDF still reflects that Ikari Druze have access to Duo, Haris, and Special. I also just checked and the printed version of Uprising lists Ikari Druze as having the Haris profile as well. Also, someone on WGC just pulled up the uprising PDF and the druze entry does not reflect the "these profiles are only available for the Druze sectorial" language. I'm sorry to berate the point but Ikari have had those options for months, and now we are being told no they were never intended to have those profiles?
They were always DBS only in the PDF, sounds like they've just fixed the error in Army. It does raise the question as to why Ikari have a Druze Haris available in their Sectorial chart, @ijw @HellLois?
In the original uprising PDF no such restriction existed, as was shown in a post on WGC earlier this evening. While the loss of the lt. sniper, and paramedic is annoying, I have a printed copy of uprising in front of me saying in black and white that they have a haris profile. If the design team made a change after reassessing the profiles and cut them, fine. I'm not happy about it but that's their prerogative. But I have a hard time believing that it took this community months to recognize that a solid half of the Druze profiles weren't supposed to be in ikari, including the haris profile.
Specifically, please see page 31 of the Uprising PDF, page 66 of v.4.0 profiles, and the last page of the ikari section in the uprising book. All those pages reflect ikari having a Druze Haris. Saying now that it was a mistake on army does not match up with the information that was presented to us until today.
The Uprising PDF was a stopgap until the Profiles PDF was updated, in any conflict the profile takes precedent. We do need to know whether page 62 showing the Haris profile as DBS only or page 66 showing Druze having Haris Ikari is correct.
That's fine. Stopgap or not, for months what we had to go off was the uprising PDF and army. Army was updated tonight. I would like to know a) why the discrepancy exists with the Haris option appearing in both the profiles PDF and the printed version of the book and b) when that restriction was included. I know you mentioned the change has been their since tunguska dropped, but was it added then? Was it before that? I understand that games change and developers make mistakes or change their minds on how things should all fit together. But again, the explanation that including a Haris profile was a mistake in army just doesn't cut it when your printed copy of the book and profiles PDF both say they have access to it. In fact, Ikari have had that option since the first fireteam information for them was released. Also, I will take your word for the fact that "profiles" PDF takes precedence over all other PDF's. That's ok. But if the PDF's are going to be cannon, then obsolete ones should be archived to avoid confusing situations.
There should also be additional line under Brawlers that says that Harris profile is able to forma link with Wu Mings. Laos if the're cleaning army builder why do they keep Duo profiles of Wu Mings, that only confuses.
Was hopeful that CB would fix or at least clarify the Druze haris issue with the update to the Profiles PDF - alas it was not to be. @HellLois
