As is Domovoi from the Outrage box, double points if you sculpt on a lifejacket.

    You mean this one:

(Below is copypasta from the project update page where I found the image)
    Top row
    • Bran do Castro (Nomad) (top)
    Middle row
    • Pavel McMannus (Ariadna)
    • Corvo Goldstein (O-12}
    • Vasily Plushenko (Ariadna)
    Bottom row
    • Armand Le Muet (Mercenary)
    • Santiago Gonzaga (Criminals)
I also note that one of the playtesters credited in the rules has Pavel McMannus as their nickname

One day I really hope we get O-12 and more Submondo and Mercenary Sectorals in NA2. They're really cool and create new fun ways to play the game.

Absolutely agreed, I use both plus Domovoi as my Irmandinhos. Got them all strapped with tones of extra gear and engineer tools. Unlike the hideous older models and the fantastic looking new one, the dogface conversions look like they actually could be phys 14. Though it works out great cause now I have 4 and they are availability 4 ^w^ The actual new imandinho model will see some use outside of StarCo for me.

The lore points to the Imandinhos having some sort of tenuous connection with Cossak High Command and foreign intelligence services. And other than the name, I imagine their recruitment is pretty open to all the Ariadnan nations. [Though I'm probably wrong and some hard to find piece of information will correct me]

Yes. But it's not like that's makes an actual difference. ;)

Irmadhino's OTOH give TAK cheap Warbands and specialists. They'll actually be seen on the table.

Wasn't justifying from a gameplay perspective - was refuting the "not Russian" argument.

Fingers crossed the "additional profiles" Gutier mentioned for Andromeda will include an S2 one.

Corregidor also has Bakunin Clockmakers in their roster and it's not as they wouldn't have access to other engineers from their own ship between Tom- and Wildcats, like Tunguska.

That's because they are trying to sell their stock of useless Andromedas

During the Seminar, he said she was included because she is a spy and that is the OSS's main mission.

I am kind of surprised she is unpopular. Even if the rules are bad (which I didnt know) I was going to grab the models because they looked really cool.

There was established lore about Atalanta going to OS missions occasionally, and absolutely no hint about Andromeda so I'm just gonna call bs on that excuse and keep thinking the obvious explanation is the right one: they are trying to move the stock (and gonna fail as that profile is ruined because of the Silhouette, the one thing they can't change)

Also, afaik OS are not spies but wet works operatives

Wet work is something spies do :)

The cool part about the seminar was Gutier basically explaining the decision process for a lot of stuff. It was all very logical.

From what I gathered from his words, previously there was an opinion that vanilla was the main way to play. Sectorials are advance play. CB was a bit surprised by how many players only play sectorials. The result seems to be earlier sectorials were built as part of vanilla.. More and more sectorials now are becoming independent. You will notice TAK has all the gaps fill for its force now. There is a cheap WB, LI, MI, HI, large mini TAG HI, Dog Types, cheap infiltrators, motorcycles. Instead it looks like now the future is sects will have every type, but lack specialist flavors.

For design, they basically look at two things: what is missing from an army gameplay wise and that their designs fill the fluff requirments for that army. They can only create so many new units for each faction for each release. So when making a sectorial they have to be careful what new designs to pick and what old ones to leave out to keep the internal balance up, ensure it it remains competitive, and the keep the theme consistent. And it also has to be fun and interesting. This is probably what might keep a unit like atlanta out, but put a unit like Andromeda in.

Not saying you aren't right I don't work for CB. Gutier admitted that they are still a company too. However, the overall tone of his talk implied they were very focused on how can CB keep the game fun which would in turn keep players playing. A few times he mentioned making design decisions that the team though would simply excite players (putting a ratnik in the box was the example). It could simply be that if you look at the army list its nearly all S2 models and remotes and they thought a large character unit that looks way different would be a better fit to have something visually striking for the army outside of the TAG.

    OS is not directly indicated.
She just disapears and the Homeridae suspect she is doing black-ops directly for ALEPH.
If that's really what she is doing that could even be out of OS, as a lone asset or even in some kind of mecenary compagnie secretly backed by ALEPH.

Who do thinks buy's more miniature? People who play the models or people who think the model looks cool.
Andromeda was a "wouldn't it be cool" failiar. Looks like pretty awsom, but in a game, where you work with silhouettes, it's awful. If the had made 2 minitarues with gsync, she would be perhaps good.

You aren't wrong about who buys more, I just didn't think she was THAT bad. But all my S4 are bikes, maybe I never noticed it being as much a problem cuz they were all Imp.

S4 aside, I think she has pretty good stats. Even now knowing what you all are telling me, I will still probably buy her and then just be disappointed like I am with the Devil Dogs, while still fielding her hoping for a different outcome because I am a stubborn idiot. :joy:

Andromeda and RoboDoggo should have been two minis, with the latter G: sync'd to the former.
