Thank you for the advise i'll try get a few more games in and will hopefully attend a local gaming store night next week. But i could not stop myself completly. Now that my army is painted i did buy a bunch of scatter plus kobe cow plus happy panda on the sale. Thanks for all the advise and inspiration I'm still scared of painting buildings but also looking forward to it.
My brother won these at a tournament on Saturday. Quick simple paint-job later to get them ready for my two Jungle tables, which will get their first proper test at another this weekend.
@aphexblue excellent stuff mate! I’ve been following your progress and love the new jungle board! The flocking is so awesome, really ties it all together. Also, the mix of the warsenal and undertown looks insane! I have board envy, you are convincing me to expand my collection even though I have no more space Something to consider moving forwards is ‘branding’ on the jungle terrain. The city board is awesome with all the banners and posters etc so is there a way you could start bringing in graphics, logos, stenciled branded crates, posters, vid screens and such like to the jungle board? Maybe it’s an abandoned research facility run by a medical corporation for instance. One trick that I used on my buildings was to print out small ‘sci fi data screens’ I found off Pinterest and cut them into tiny terminals and door buttons that I simply glued onto the doors and walls in areas that seemed logical - such as around machinery or door handles or flatscreens on walls/desks etc. Keep it up! P.s. that pano paint job is great
Thanks Edster! Yeah flock makes everything look much better with minimal effort. Great if you have old terrain. Mess it up and flock it. The blast doors are begging for more detail, and branding would be cool, although adding post flocking might be tricky. I will revisit at some point and see what I can do.
Most of the Building are from antenocities Where came that other stuff from?First of all the Red and the big blue one
I somehow missed this during the Great Forum Migration, so pardon the likestorm. (anything not liked was probably taking forever for pics to load) See if you can snag a copy of the Batman Miniatures Game rules, all the actions technically take place at night!
Now that all the pics are loading in a timely manner... Must find that Tron motorcycle!!! Very nice!!! What did that start out as, before you put all the rocks on it?
Thanks Section9. I think it is designed so you can model water falls that run down the slope into the troughs at the bottom. I have seen it built so the vents under the rock level are at the top, but the building guide and images had them at the bottom. I was considering modelling the water but the rock garden helped hide a problem with my bad build of the tower. Failing that it's a large flat area normally so would be good for a graffiti wall.
Finishing off some of my Antenocities bits recently. The tile patterns and rugs were from ebay doll house lots, copied and printed out on photo paper for a tough shiny surface.
Wondering how the new N4 scenery rules will effect table design. It was always tricky making sure there was enough to cover a third, in certain situations. Looking forward to testing them out. I've been grouping my scenery up into set tables. Hopefully will be quicker to deploy and pack up at tournaments.
Works fine for me. Check with another browser, if it works try to force a full refresh or clean your cache. Didn't happened for quite some time now but for a while some pics didn't show when logged in.
Images in this thread are not hosted with this forum, but in a different place. Some in photobucket, some old infinity forum (showing as hosting company logo), latest cubeupload. Click this and see what kind of error you get.
Funny thing, when browsing with Chrome (PC or phone), my own pics don't show. But it works fine with other browsers. I suspect non https links to be removed.
