I don't know if this has already been communicated but is there any chance that CB release additional rules for 3 or 4 players ? Maybe with the second extension and the possibility to have 4 full different teams ?

I think this possibility is a huge selling argument for some concurrent games (won't name any).

We are working on a multiplayer scenario, but we won't publish it until it works fine. There are things from the game that will be changed for that scenario because of the time to play with 3+ players.

Great ! I can't wait to see it.

I'm sure you already tried it but what about having only 3 minis in a 3+ game ?

    Good luck. :)

Same problems that 4 minis. We'll find a way.

    I'm sure you will.

For what it is worth, my opinion is that I'm not expecting a 3 or 4 players version to be as perfectly balance as the 2 players one. It's just I would like to play with my family or friends on vacation or after dinner, just like I do with other boardgames.

I intend to try it with 4 peoples, two minis each. 2 teams so two players collaborate.

And if that is satisfying I will try with switching teams during the game. Like each round team change clockwise or based on score so that at the end each player will have a different number of points.

Has there been any progress on the multiplayer rules?

We're currently working on Season 2 stuff, so I'm afraid we had to pause it.

    That's really sad :-(

Aristeia has the potential for more than two players.

It has, but it has to be managed adequately.

I think I'm in the minority - I don't see a need for 3+ players, or desire to play it...

Looking forward to Season 2 and hopefully an enjoyable set of rules for 3-4 players! I've worked on a homebrew that I've played with friends, but I'm pretty sure an official version will be done better :)

Im real curious on your homebrew version. Would you mind if you can share your version with me/us? Do you use three or four actors per team?

    What I did:

Player 1 got initiative slot 1 and 3, player 2 got 2 and 4 (P3 got 1 and 3, P4 got 2 and 4 for their team). This kept engagement constant for teammates, plus ensured they both had to have a comprehension of the team rather than just the characters they individually drafted and picked abilities for.

The tactics deck was a shared hand, so they had to keep the other player in mind. And again, while they each picked two characters each, they also picked the ability cards individually.

Initiative was done with a little discussion between each team.

There was a lot of learning, so hopefully when we get more comfortable with the game we'll do less inter-team discussion and more "you need to figure out your partner's plans based on your shared knowledge."

@Chikahiro Thx a lot for your answer.

We recently have done a few games with three and also four players ... and it was a lot of fun to play.
For three players we used four minis per person without probelm on the table.
For four players we just used three minis per person.
