So, somebody might just be kicking off a PanOceania-centric blog. Which will be Infinity focused, but also touch on the RPG and Aristeia, with worldbuilding articles, sectorial breakdowns, beginner guides and all the usual guff you might expect. But if such a thing did exist... what would YOU want to see it cover? Just hypothetically. You know. Asking "for a friend".
I'd definitely like to read articles about PanO lore. Also, maybe some high quality battle reports or a serial-style story that gets updated once a month. Painting guides for beginners. It might be cool to create a community of writers, kind of like Pride of Rodina. That would mean that there would be plenty of content to keep people interested.
Definitely a weekly salt mining documentary. (Comic sans is missed.) I'd say lore is always a thing. Especially as i recall. You have access to the rpg material.
Positive up-beat information about how to succeed with PanO...that would be the most novel contribution your friend could possibly make.
One thing I... I mean one thing "my friend" was thinking about including would be a series of articles with a Q&A style approaching key successful PanOceanian ITS players about how they approached their parts of the faction and how they use them so well.
My greatest motivation to read a blog would be battle reports, perhaps paired with a tactical analysis of the game. And, also asking for a fiend, a series of articles about winning with MO without using deFersen and Hospitalers (but that would be highly optional ).
Interviews with top players and/or game designers would be very fun. It would be especially great to see these interviews paired with practical tabletop analysis, asking about specific board states rather than just the usual discussion of unit profiles. Things like the excellent tactics from @daboarder. I'd also love to see articles paired with mission reports emphasizing key tactics concepts. Perhaps a series exploring the different missions in ITS? An article or two on concepts followed by a mission report demonstrating those concepts and then a final article analyzing what worked/didn't.
Well, Kelzaral played him at Interplanetario and finished at the 39th place. He is good in limited insertion when you have scenarios like Highly Classified, Supplies and Supremacy around. Since a 10 orders list require to have good fighters and good specialists, it is rare to have both and large room for KHD. Just avoid to field him against the EI and Aleph (hi Scylla, Dasyu and Naga) and he should be well. Yes, he is not an instant pick but he can be really tough when the conditions are here.
I don't know how to put it nicely, but usually people have zero sense of color and paint like 6 years olds. It would be more like a horror show, than a gallery.
I would second this. PanO Blue is not the only option, seeing and discussing other paint schemes could fill out an interesting post or three. My PanO are white/copper (It amuses me to imagine that PanO is so rich and technologically advanced, they spend inordinate amounts of money on producing white field uniforms that stay white.)
Thanks for all the ideas guys, there's some really good stuff here! Keep it coming and you may get to see some of it become a reality in the near future.
I still don't understand how @daboarder manages to pull of 10 order TAG, dual TAG, multiple HI lists with high efficiency. I think this is important for vanilla Pano (and we had a long whine train about it's hardships), so it would be nice if you could pick his brain, and present that stuff in a more digestible form.
