The future of Yu Jing

I am totally ok with the idea of a cybernetic operator.

Having said that, I think remote presence seems a more natural evolution of Yu Jing’s tech background.

 

That would make it the third to ever get one right?

 

Considering they don't have Remote Presence TAGs, I think it'd be a bit of a stretch personally.

 

Although the Su Jian is RemPres.

 

Fair--but that's still a pretty big jump from Su Jian to RP soldiers.

 

Nah, look at Domaru. The men in that box are massive while the women are significantly lankier and a head shorter. The Daoying is not quite shorter, but on the other hand they've got stiletto heels that approaches longsword heels, making the model almost as tall as the Liu Xing. Armour plates and synth muscles also line up mostly with the Zuyong armour, but there is a hint of side-boob plate on the Daoying. Additionally, the lanky arms look robotic, but the design for the arm-joint is actually the same as for the males in the same group picture. All in all this is entirely in line with CB's insistence on exaggerated female anatomy - it's just the first time that I can find that they've made a dossier for a heavy infantry showing a female model, except for Joan and Joan has even thinner biceps and would look even more robotic if she had a helmet on.

While it'd be a bit silly to rule out another G:RemPres HI for Yu Jing, I don't think this is it.

@kanluwen Yeah, the Acrylate Kanone is new for Yu Jing. I don't think it's a massive change compared to normal glue guns and I find the Flammenspeer more interesting. The Kanone certainly allows this one to punch above its weight to punish someone for taking a Jotum, however.

 

There were the Karakuri before the uprising also.

 

Just saw the high-res. The feet don’t look human but they could be cybernetically enhanced. Makes me think of the new Aristea character coming out. But overall she doesn’t look human to me. I like the idea that they are themselves, a replacement for Karakuri. Maybe a not as heavily armored Karakuri. Between Dakini and Karakuri. ARM2-3, 1 Wound, NWI, Remote Presence.

By fluff, yes, the Karakuri are AI-piloted like Dakini, not RP'd like a Su Jian. But the Karakuri have better AI than the Dakini, since Karakuri are HI, not REM.

In fluff way Karakuri are very advanced remotes that in game means to be HI insted of remotes. The Daoying in my opinion is more like the Su Jian and Pano Tags, a remote presence HI controled by a human operator, that can allow CB to make high mobilty HI with 15-10 movement etc

 

Don't do this shit. If you're aware of it via playtesting, just hush.

 

It's a pretty mean thing to tease people in that fashion.

 

The almost androgynous thing is mostly because of more relaxed and less usual bootylicious pose that we get from Bostria's sketch+tactical skirts imo.

And they have boobs, look at those sides. But with the abnormal legs i can agree that this is somekind of cybernetical units. Interesting indeed.

 

I would say its another anorexic female HI.

Okay, seriously, how do you get those to be cybernetic? They're literally normal (but female-thin) HI boots with excessive high-heels and snow-shoe things. Like these, but more plated and actually less foot-distorting because those Daoying boots can actually fit the toes unlike the below stiletto shoes:

Maybe it's just the art, Rob Liefeld feet if you are a comic fan. He would hide feet because he had a hard time drawing them. But I'm having a hard time seeing normal fee there too. It will be hilarious though if they decided to make REAL Combat Heels! Just to piss some guys off lol.
