Agreed. I'm not sure what I was hoping for when I heard they were being redesigned. If anything these will make an excellent substitute for the Probots that I feel are in dire need of an update. Just slap a larger base on them and call it good.
That sounds amazing, we don't even have that here in Miami, but mixing Cuban and Irish food just makes so much sense
I hope they redesign more faction REMs. The weapons are so out of date and unrecognisable and keeps falling off. (Weibing combi is just a 1.5mm wide rod)
That was always so strange to me, why weapon platforms carry tiny weapons. I'm not fond of comicaly big weapons but some remotes have microscopic weapons, tsyklon spitfire for example. Also it's very hard to paint them.. Line troopers have weapons which are twice the size of the remote's arms. The new rebots, is that HMG one is carrying, suffer from this as well.
Are the Nomad remotes likely to stay the same? I'd hate to grab some and see new sculpts a year later...and the Nomads remotes don't fit into the Moran box for me. The Moran box is where units that I'll never field based on their miniatures reside, for the record. Wildcats are in there as well.
I like the general redesign of the new Rebots, but I dislike, that the weapon mount is so close to the ground. They have to fire upwards and from the optical perspective a weapon mount on the top would be much better. I mean look at the render from the upcomig Haq-Remotes. They even have weapons that are easily recognizable. The HMG on the new Rebot still looks tiny. Not as microscopical tiny like the one on the old Rebots, but still tiny. I understand that they try to make a design difference between the Drones of the factions, but the underslung Aleph-Variant look sub-optimal - especially for a supreme AI Good that I have two of the old ones, primed and paint-ready so no need for a quick buy here. I really hope that they make a quick rework of the standard-remotes of the the other factions because they all look very outdated - I only own the Nomad ones, because the are the ones who ages less. Pan O is worst, Haq has new ones upcomig and Yu Jings are ... okay for that age, but also in dire need of a resculpt.
With the boxes on the other side I was thinking that one might be intended as the Daleth (Sensor package) with a combi and not the Zayin TR HMG.
Possible. I thought that this are the ammo boxes for the HMG. Lets see, when they show us all options.
Angel has just posted pictures of a new ORC! https://m.facebook.com/StudioGirald...1416411771/1943521845708713/?type=3&source=48 Waaaaiit....
Hopefully, ALEPH and Haqq's new S3 Remotes are a sign the rest are getting updated. Alas, AFAIK the S4 ones are generally a little newer so may take a while? We may also see Morans sometime next year, who knows?
You are assuming the projectiles move in a stereotypical parabolic arch. That is so last century. Thanks to adjustable smart surfaces, and onboard sensor suites, the munitions can hit targets behind the launcher. They just don't to adhere to concilium conventions of a maximum of 180 degree arcs of Line of Sight. And of course Aleph has miniaturized this technology to even apply to bullets! Obviously!
I'd say that these new rebots are ideal for being used as Rudras... even if we have to change the base for a 55mm one (from S3 to S4). I sure hope the Rudras will have AVA3 on Vedic...
After years of models landing over rocks in the battlefield, we were bound to get one model that fails and trips over... Other than that, I like this new monkey.
I think the Rui Shi's spitfire bothers me the most, those 2 baby guns. Plus they were a massive paint to assemble.
Yeah... and reassemble and reassemble and reassemble as they fall off :( Kit-bashing with some old 40k weapons might do the trick.
CB are (i think) on holiday today - at least Koni is... So we will hopefully get full res images tomorrow when they're back
Games companies usually take the day after their major con off. It's exhausting to run a full weekend event. That said, I desperately hope @Koni will post some high res stuff tomorrow.
