Does the use of the Speculate Fire skill allow you to ignore the fact that the only target is in a marker state (which is not Impersonation)?

The ruling is very clear for me but I want to make sure that I didn't get something essential wrong.

You cannot target only markers with speculative fire.

You have to target (in case of Speculative Fire it's enough to clip) "normal" non-marker trooper, and only then if you "accidentally" clip any enemy markers, they are hit if you succeed your attack.

And you can never attack IMP marker, only discover him.

You need a valid, nonmarker target to then also effect a marker model (Camo not Impersonation as you noted)

    EDIT: Disregard, I misread

    As per the rule:
So yes, you explicitly can use it against an enemy in a marker state, that is one of the purposes of the skill

Isn't that Intuitive Attack? This is a thread for Speculative Fire...

Thanks alot for your answers. A friend of mine has severe case of "that guy" in his local meta who tends to twist rules to his advantage and he didn't knew how to argue that guy's interpretation. That interpretation (which means that lonely camo markers are attackable by speculative fire) was so off from the rules text that I actually didn't know how to reply to it. So I wanted to make sure that I am right in this case.

Dont worry about. It happens. My first warcor "discovered" my camos with speculative fire too. It was a headache.

They can understand "You can use Speculative Fire to attack enemy troopers with CH: Camouflage, TO or ODD who are behind a Partial Cover." on a wrong way.
