Can a trooper with Holoprojector L2 enter holoecho state as a different kind of trooper? So let's assume I have a Sepluchre knight, can it enter holoecho state as 3 Fusiliers?
http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Holoecho This allows the player to replace the model with others from the same army possessing the same Silhouette value, and also to replace the Holoecho Markers with figures. However these must represent the same type of trooper as the model, possessing the same weapons and equipment, like the Holoecho Markers do. If it is not possible, then the player must place a Holoecho Marker beside that model to reflect its condition. If the player is using models instead of Holoecho Markers, then at the start of his Active Turn or if he activates the Holoecho state in his Active Turn, the player must place a Holoecho Marker next to one of the three models, but it is not compulsory that model be the real Holoprojector L2 bearer. By this way, his adversary can know he is facing a Holoprojector L2 trooper in order to be able to delay his AROs. The player can remove that Holoecho Marker at the end of his Active Turn.
Yes, but the opponent will know it was single Sepulcher. The Holo2 is best used in Deployment, and then, for the game speed's sake, just use the original miniature and 2 markers (or 2 other models easy to distinguish)
Oh, forgot to RTFM properly :( I'd say this is the clearest part: The effect of the Holoecho state can be combined with the effects of the Holoprojector L1 state. Thanks for the answers guys!
Also, from memory, you can tweak your Courtesy list to show the pretend profiles... Someone in my local meta is trying to run 7 Holo2 troops at an event, and wants to list 21 Warcors in a single Combat Group.
This is the hardest part. It's written in a very confusing way, to say the least. ... these figures must represent the same type of trooper as the model (which model? this part really references nothing.) possessing the same weapons and equipment, like the Holoecho Markers do - if we accept that a mysterious "model" mentioned means the trooper having Holo2, this reads like if a HI with a spitfire has holo2, models that are used instead of echoes should be HIs with spitfires too ("troop type" term has no other meanings besides actually the types as LI, HI, SK and so on), so no 3 fusis instead of a Holy Sepulchre. I am not being caustic, I'm really, honestly having a hard time understanding how this works. Wanted to field one this weekend, but it's either me too slow or the rule too messed up.
It means that the real model and the two holoechos must use exactly the same disguise. So you could disguise as three Fusilier Hackers, but not as a Fusilier Hacker, HMG, and MSR.
Thanks, man, but what about "zeee model" thing and the "trooper type" thing? to replace the model with others from the same army possessing the same Silhouette value, and also to replace the Holoecho Markers with figures. However these must represent the same type of trooper as the model
Holo1 says you disguise yourself as a Trooper, Holo2 says that the echoes must be the same type of trooper. So if one is a Fusilier, the rest must be Fusiliers, if one is an ORC Trooper the rest must be ORC Troopers, etc etc
Still, it would read much better as "In this case all figures that are replacing holoecho markers must represent the same troop profile and must all have identical weapons and equipment."
