Maybe a new remote with a Portable Autocannon and/or HMG/LGL. Better ARM than the Traktor Mule. Something like SWORDS. Or a Remote with Explode L1 like the Goliath from WW2.
Since genCon promised profile updates: Second Wound for Mormaer. Failing that NWI. I also would love if Scots Guards got status of Elite Unit, just for sake of ADHL loving missions.
I always thought Vet Kazaks, Mormaers & Greys should have NWI, and all of our other HI get Dogged. Though they'll never get a 2nd wound - Ariadna doesn't get that level of HI. However, I simply can't see any of these profiles ever changing like this.:-(
I see what you are saying. It seems like they designed the Vet Kazak to be a almost HI without power armor and the other HI as just faster MI. I kind of like the idea of lighter and heavier almost HI for ariadna. For example, Vet Kazak and Mormaers could be like you say with NWI Greys, Minutemen, Moblots should have mixtures of dogged or some other defense like shock immune with doctor and cheaper prices. Then Blackjacks and Ratnik types which are actual HI get lo-tech which is essentially 2W.
Wishlisting: Blackjacks get Sapper profiles and Mine Dispensers. Marauders get a Marksman Rifle profile and an Engineer profile. Traktor Mul Control Devices available to other units that have Engineer options.
I’d like to see USARF get a pass with the new sectorial mindset. I don’t even think there are many unit profiles that need “improving” in terms of raw stats, but some options to mix up the list and differentiate certain units (like Minutemen) would be neat. Interesting mixed links would also be nice. Blackjack with 4 Grunts would be fun, since I’m imagining 4 dudes huddled behind the big tank as the pew-pew comes in. :P
don't know if already mentioned, but changing the Paramedic from Marauders to Minutemen in exchange for the FO. Doesn't make much sense for me having the Medic with the units I let go dogged all the time... also the Minutemen Miniatures having a f***ing Medikit with them!
Ok. Think that. Because you have an advanced paramedic in the battlefiled, you can reach faster your wounded comrades
Anrian is pointing out that the Minuteman model quite literally has a medipack on him. The Minutemen come with them on each model. Would have been interesting to see Paramedic as a unit role for them, bump the AVA down though. An HMG toting Paramedic would be a hell of a combat medic...
Minutemen need some attention one way or another. They are outclassed by most things even in their own sectorial
I think they'd be a good place for a Haris and/or Duo option to crop up, and/or a character added with Haris/Duo options.
I was thinking more along the lines of a direct buff, like +1 ARM (they are wearing heavier armor than grunts after all) or NWI, maybe some some more visors, since all of the miniatures seem to have them A haris/duo option would make them more playable for sure though, but it would still mean they are strictly worse than the other linkers
Not an unusual happenstance with USARF unfortunately, not as bad as PanO HI/Knights though Having a first aid pack on every model actually fits current Military doctrines where every soldier carries medical supplies and the medic uses the casualty's own supplies before dipping into his own stash, I actually think it would have been neat if all USARF soldiers had an obvious first aid pouch on the model (hmm, maybe time to do some repaints). British squaddies often acquire extra first aid pouches, but this is because they perfectly hold two bags of Haribo.
Why did TAK need Streloks, a biker unit, Frontoviks, or Ratniks? Design paradigms change over the years. My suggestions are based upon trying to put USARF into what they were claimed to be: a defensively oriented force.
Because right now they seem to have completely different designs, take some time looking at the complete list of profiles and you will see the differences. USARF works, and works really well except in limited insertion. And both sectorials have a completely different flavor. No seriously. Blackjacks right now are pure gold and cheap. Excellent at his job. If ITS missions that need to destroy the power pack with anti-material persist then yes maybe some extra d-charges could be nice to have, but once again why marauders? why the 10-5 troops that are more used than minutemen? Why do you need somebody else to take mules? then the dozer will never be used. I don't know man it makes 0 sense to me.
