Well they would then single-handed destroy Yu-Jing as their forum subsection would went totally rabid over someone else gettting HI engineer first ;)

On Santiagos: I think that they actually should downgrade their Specialists to (probably) Specialist Operative, AND get some special equipment. Something usefull as Sensor+Deactivator/Nullfier? It must be usefull to compete with a Hospitaller stellar Doctor, otherwise they will be still overshadowed by Hospitaller link (HMG vs Spitfire is another problem).
I understand people going for this, while bikes in MO rubs me in a bad spot ;/

On the other hand other options are AD (Yu-JIng rampart), high speed (just check how people are flaking MOV 6-2 Teuton), high mobility (them a worst Shikami?). Tbh I don't know how exactly approach KotHS without making him "upgunned" Ayyar. Only exception which I see atm. is that Feubarach with Surprise Shot L2 would could actually work for MO (though Holo2 would only be used as a Surprise Shot tool, it's hard to fool anyone with KotHS Holo's while playing MO).

I'd already run Santiagos over Hospitalers if their Paramedic hat friggin BSG to compete with the Hospitaler's Multirifle Doc. There currently is no way to include a proper BS14 BSG into a Magister Link without forfeiting the SWC gun or Specialist, giving Santiagos that option makes them instantly better, turns the Duo in one of the rare Duos worth running and makes them notably different from Hospitalers in terms of what their Specialist does.

Agreed on the MO Bikes. I'd bet money that a Bikeknight would turn out great, but for once it just doesn't feel right.

Ariadnan Heavy Infantry isn't really considered Heavy Infantry by most.

They are still just as susceptible to IMM-2 like every other HI.

Has Non-Hackable been changed to let them be targeted by those kinds of things?

    Because from what I remember:
    Moblots have "Non-Hackable".

Yeah, your right. There are a couple of bike ideas I would love to see, (been working on my Aragoto themed JSA, and have bikes on the mind) but it probably isn't a great fit thematically for Pano.

I was mostly making fun of the Equestrian word in the Holy Sepluchre name. I feel like it is a lost opportunity. I mean you could just give them mechanized deployment, but then you overshadow the Montessa. That being said, having more units with mechanized deployment could give PanO some unique flavor. Varuna, might even be a good vector to slip some mechanized deployment into vanilla.

I've said it before, but I am totally on board for Biker Knights. Give the bikes different horse names and go, go, GO! If you want it to be more hi-tech, just make the bikes hover instead of roll.

I didn't even take hacking into consideration in my mind :D

I was thinking about E/M2 and ADH.

So your argument is a relatively uncommon-ish ammo type and ADHLs means that Moblots are considered by people as "normal" HI?

I mean, I guess the argument can work there but it's a weird one. :P

ADHL immobilizes everyone, not only HI.

E/M ammo isn't very popular, but it isn't that uncommon, either.

It still doesn't make Ariadna HI proper HI, though. Proper HI don't go down after a single crit.

I don't recall ever saying that people do or should consider them a "real" HI, whatever that means. I only pointed out that whether or not people want to think about overpriced one-wound arm3 model as HI, Moblots are still susceptible to IMM-2 state with all the cons, like every other HI in the game. And that is where linkable engineer might help is all.

Ok but seriously, let's take a look at a hypothetical Bikeknight for the KOTHS profile. Loses Holo2, gains bike, for a start. While a Holo2 bike would be HILARIOUS I'm not sure if it's something that CB is willing to do.

How much does a bike cost? Marauder Molotok is 28, Maverick Molotok is 29. MSV1 vs Forward Deploy L1 & Dogged, their statlines are identical. . That sounds like a bike doesn't cost all that much, maybe 5 points? I mean it's got a built-in Impetuous discount. Sounds like it's mostly going to wash with dropping Holo2, maybe a single point difference.

Sepulchre Knight Biker - Cube - Regular - Hackable - Impetuous
    MOV 8-4 - CC 21 - BS 14 - PH 14 - WIP 14 - ARM 4 - BTS 3 - W 2 - S 4 AVA 1
    Kinematika L1 - Martial Arts L2 - Religious Troop
    _______________________________________________________________
    Spitfire - Pistol - DA CCW - 55 Points - 2 SWC
    Combi Rifle - D.E.P. - Pistol - DA CCW - 50 Points - 0 SWC

I say at least about 50% PanO troops should get an up date, but then again what do I know.

People actually run Moblots and Minutemen Links?
Aragoto vs Kempetai Spitfire is about 2 points for the Bike, Impetuous does a lot to make you cheap.
As the KothS has almost a Hospitaler statline (1WIP vs 1BTS who already get some of the rebate through Frenzy) you could slap 5 points on top of them and call it a day.
A Combi Bike would be about 38. Spitfire 44.

    guys,

Cmon. lets be at least a little realistic shall we?

We arent likely to get changes that require significant playtesting to balance, that means no new profiles or re-designs of existing units (Tuetons, looking at you sorry)
We arent going to get radical character redesigns (Rao and Signh, youre out)

What we might be lucky to get is a few mor mixed links and link options, so maybe mixed MO links and maybe bolt haris or Bipandra in Bolt links. However thats about the absolute most we could hope for (and given the re-design of bipandra in the uprising book im doubtful this is what CB intends)

If any of us are lucky what we will see is a re-pricing of things for which we know the cost has changed, combi+LSG being the prime candidate for a 1-2 pt drop, but equally our multi rifles may get more expensive based on the asura.
So lets be serious about this shall we.
