So will this be an even grimmer year for tohaa?

WordPress is actually written in PHP :P I had a website/forum built on WordPress/phpBB before, so it would be more or less familiar.

We would need to find a way to store the database, though. I doubt that WordPress blogs allow you to modify the db structure.

 

@Magonus, what if we use a free hosting like this?

There's gonna be a catch to that hosting, though. "If you didn't pay for it, you are the product," as they say.

 

I doubt there would be any financial value to what we're up to store there :D

You can modify db structure, or add new tables etc :)

 

On a free blog hosted on the wordpress.com domain? Last time I checked, there was no cPanel or phpMyAdmin to do that.

I don't know that anyone around here will try this stuff out with me (my peers are already giving me crap for picking up Tohaa in the first place), but I voted on what I thought desirable/interesting nonetheless. :-)

 

@Magonus , if you update with more new suggestion ideas, please, say it, i love to read all about it :D

 

We have a few profiles "locked in", but mostly we're getting the database in order, and watching the poll. I really don't want to go too crazy making new stuff, since balance is always to be considered, and really 80% of the foundation is available with mercs and existing Tohaa units.

As I wrote on the poll, though, suggest away. For example I thought the symbio-REM crab was a shoe-in, but it's the least popular suggestion by far, even though the Exalted poll has "new bioconstruct/symbiomonster" way up in the favored entries. Maybe people want a symbiosquid, or symbiocentipede? I don't know. This is basically fanfiction, so as agreed-upon and publicly liked the ideas are, the better. Please comment if you have an idea that doesn't seem to match up to our suggestions, especially if it fits with existing Tohaa fluff.

Also I haven't talked with my partner in crime about it, but perhaps we should add patch builders for unattended sectorials like MO and Shasvastii since as @yojamesbo pointed out, some opponents of Tohaa may be unwilling to play against fake Tohaa stuff.

 

Well, seeing how Tohaa is confirmed as abandoned @ Adepticon, let's get this ball rolling :)

Maybe it is not the right thread, but i'd love to see again a few more Viral options on new profiles, and another profile with Vulkan Shotgun (maybe not another heavy armour guy, another unit with different aproach)
