I am trying to put together a list that is at least workable with some of my favorite YJ models to include: Hac Tao HMG Hac Tao Hacker Daofei Spitfire Guilang any profile I know these are some point heavy guys, but trying to come up with a small team of elite operators to try out. Any help is appreciated!
Well, it'd be quite impossible having two Hac Taos in a list, since... Hac Taos are AVA 1. Everything else though? Perfectly doable. Personally, I'd try making a lost that'd look something vaguely like this, but that's probably more so due to personal taste ( I'm quite fond of single combat group lists and like the Guilang sniper a bit too much perhaps.). If you would prefer the Hac Tao HMG, I'd grab the Exec Order version and cash in on the 0.5 SWC discount the Daofei Spitfire Lieutenant gets. If going KHD/AHD Hac Tao, I'd just grab the regular Daofei with a Spitfire and try working something out from there. Maybe try setting up for some form of repeater network or something along those lines. Both units are really solid either way IMO ( A well placed Daofei Spitfire can easily delete a TR bot, same thing with the Hac Tao HMG. And both being some form of camo troops with high burst weapons... stacking mods in their favor is not that hard. ). And Guilangs are just awesome. Nothing much to say there.
I think you really just need to find things to support those ones you want. The Hac Tao and Daofei are both really good hard hitting and defensive troops. They would be the stars of any show. The only thing you need is something to keep them alive! The thing you need to support them is a Doctor with at least two yao zao. Have the doctor also ready to get close to one if needed. Some would say they are vulnerable to hacking but I’ve hardly ever been worried about HI being hacked. At most they can immobilized for one turn and you can reset out of it. There’s not many that can support the Guilang. He’s meant be on his own. Really the best thing for him is orders to get things done. So filling up on some Zhanshi, Celestial Guard, and Kuang Shi would be the most benefit. The same really could be said for the others as well.
I mean, HI could get immobilized... but they can also get Isolated, which does present the issue of them no longer being able to receive Orders and needing an Engineer to fix that.
True but that can happen to anyone. Personally, I've hardly ever gotten gotten either happen to me or been able to do it to anyone else. I'm not going to say it's not a concern but for me it's not top of the list. If the Hac Tao is a KHD, then even less concern!
I usually bring a Daofei and two Guilang. I find that Daofei and Hac Tao are either/or choices, not both. (0 | 16) 5.5 SWC | 295 Points Open in Infinity Army The "Yu Jing Roulette" deployment is to have 4 camo markers all within 8" of each other. One is a mine that will blow up in your face, two are squishy Guilang, but the last is a 2W HI. Better guess right! You could swap the Daofei hacker and Tiger Spitfire to Daofei Spitfire and Tiger AHD. Just don't forget that your Tiger is waiting to drop in!
Yeah, I'd probably switch the Spitfire Tiger into an AHD and the Daofei AHD into a Spitfire. Personal preference and all that. That, and the Spitfire Daofei can rather neatly eliminate TR HMG bots TBH.
