well, I think I have done that against a less than expert player. It is likely that this happened in the N2 era when the odds where different. So only try this now if you are desperate.
Well, having multiple CoC units is always welcome; especially as the Unknown Ranger is easy to spot! 1SWC isn't ideal, but he is 11pts cheaper than the Unknownger, which is at least another boot on the table, (or an upgrade on another unit!). Plus, I've been experimenting recently with fewer big-guns, so I'd have the SWC free for at least one of them. Finally, it gives us another WIP14 specialist.
Never understood point of lone ranger CoC...41pts rifle CoC...great, not really a threat to anyone, yet at same time, way too much pts to just sit in corner.

You are camo, so in active turn you wont really be able to do that, he sees you on a board, there is really no point to turn your back to a marker and give it a free shoot on you for whatever reason. In reactive, simply put him in building or position him so that no one can go behind him, or maybe you have a link team watching his back etc. Once again, against smart opponent that knows what he is doing, he really won't leave you chanches to do stuff like that. Same as with van Z. smart opponent will suspect that you might have him and leave guys watching his back, so he doens't get caught with his pants down and van Z kills half of his army in the back...
I think I read or heard somewhere that the tank hunter CoC option was supposed to be TAK only. Now we have it in army for vanilla. But maybe it does not stay or only until TAK is officially available?
It being a limited release is probably what's going to happen. The Strelok Antipode was listed as TAK only (as was the minelayer Strelok) and its in vanilla as well.
We're not supposed to have the TAK or Vedic Sectorial lists just yet, so the reason is likely just to 'get it out there' since people might have Coldfront(which has a Tankhunter with AP Rifle) and the Advanced Pack already.
