Per title. The early release of these profiles (specifically for the models in the set) seems to hint that we won't get the full profiles for OS or TAK this weekend... does that sound right? So we won't be getting the full listings and AVAs until the street release date for the box?
Yes, according to Mayacast, we won't be getting the sectorials until later in the year. (I'm expecting we'll get them around the time that the Beyond Coldfront pack comes out.)
I doubt that. Tunguska went up on the street release date for the starter. At the latest, I'd expect OS and TAK on the street release date for Coldfront. I'm guessing the early profiles released is to allow those with early access to the box to use their models - just not the sectorial.
I wasn't around for the Red Veil drop, but we've seen peaks at fire team options already, they have stuff ready. It doesn't make sense that it wouldn't drop in the somewhat near future.
I would agree, except there would be no need to hold off releasing the other profiles for the new units... We've seen that there are 3 Shukra profiles and 7 for the Yadu - they were shown on the BoW vids. The only reason I can see for not making them officially accessible in Army now would be to time them with the remainder of the sectorial options. EDIT - wrong quote
Also bear in mind Interplanetary list submission was two days ago, they couldn't make any changes to existing profiles that people actually have to use until it has finished. I expect we'll see more Asura changes at the very least.
@Cartographer, interplanetario is also before the street date of coldfront, so it makes sense that CB would wait until at least the end of the tournament.
I guess you are using the Bolt precedent for expecting to see changes to Asura? Or Teuton? Knight of the Holy Sepulchre? Andromeda? Voronin? Must be the major nerf to Sukeuls that hit them so hard. Or the infamous Kaeltar cost increase.
The box is Aleph vs Ariadna, not OSS vs TAK, so i wouldn't expect sectorial rules on release date, more like when Beyond comes.
Well, Red Veil was more like "Ramatah Vs Yu Jing [presumably Invincible]", so there is little to compare there :S
I see the tournament angle for intrrplanetario but they could have just disallowed it and let the rest of the interplanet get on with their lives. I mean Interplanetario will represent maybe .0001% of all Infinity players on like 2 days this year. So I really don't think if that is the justification for not releasing a finished product. Now I have no intention of buying Coldfront but I've seen a lot of people really excited for those sectorials. What I hope is that this weekend they give a really good reason for holding out on those sectorial releases. I would be satisfied with something simple like a book expansion or that they will be a major part of ITS 10 and there is a story to the sectorials they want to sell like JSA. But what I wouldn't do is not say anything other than "it's coming out this year...soonish".
To be fair we have a possible indicator(of course could be standard typo) of Andromeda getting a slight change in the ColdFront 300 point list.
List submission was prior to changes, and apparently CB provide players with printed copies of their Open/Closed lists at the event. So changes in Army are entirely irrelevant to the preparing for, or playing in, the tournament.
So what are the chances that the next book they announce is going to have these two sectorials alongside the previous box's RTF and maybe even IA?
Yeah, I cannot remember exactly when, but if I'm not mistaken several monts ago Bostria told in a seminar/video that CB was considering faster book releases, with less factions/sectorials/rules, because the old system could lead into very thick books that take too long to release and cannot keep pace with model releases. If they have decided to choose that path, next book could include rules/profiles/fluff for several new Sectorials: TAK, OS, RTF, IA (or White Banner, don't know how it's called), Varuna... maybe even Triunvirate and Shasvastii.
Sounds to me like you would not have bought it anyway, but have an axe to grind. From CBs perspective, the Interplanetary IS a big thing. But kudos to you to sticking to your guns and publicly stating you won't buy the box, or likely anything associated with it because it is being released "too slowly" :D
