You could kick a Zondbot and take Knauf instead of Lunah, makes it viable outside of SoF. It doesn't free up enough points for a Spitfire Riot Grrl though. :/

Oh I'm just real dumb. :D

With 5 HI including a core, do you feel like you have enough counter hacking support between the tin bots and al'hawwa? I almost wonder if its worth trying to find a way to squeeze Uhahu or a Bandit KHD into the list to help run interference?

It's a risk, sure, mitigated by the TinbotB somewhat. A hacker running Fairy Dust might be overkill (total -9 to hack, +3 BTS), but it's likely that my other list will probably include Uhahu (and Spector) alongside the Al'Hawwa because I'm expecting a lot of TAGs and HI squads - probably have to drop a couple of Grrls for that, though.

With the list above, i suppose its possible to downgrade the Brigada to a BSG, and replace the hardcase with an Alguacil hacker but its a hard call - i feel like the hardcase offers something important.

For reference, the missions we're doing are:
    Aquisition, Frontline, Firefight, Supplies, Supremacy
Only one of these is a Pure Specialist mission, the others are kill/domination centric or hybrids.

So I took Starco to Interplanetario. I did not-great (50th/140, 2 major wins, two minor losses, two major losses) and most of my losses were due to poor decisions, not weakness of the army.

I took two lists, the first geared for normal advance and support, the second for a bit more forward deployment/AD action. Both were built around a core of Riot Grrls who had both Emily and Avicenna as link options.

I can report that Riot Grrl links are hard as nails. Last game of the tourney (against @Myomer , who is great fun to play against), the Grrls were all knocked unconscious and all got back up thanks to Avicenna's amazing doctor skillzzz. They also soaked a LOT of fire as bullet magnets with their excellent Dodge, which I used decently.

Emily was an MVP of course: I could use her more aggressively I think. Her Spec Fire grenades performed okay, my opponents got lucky with dodges so I wasted at least 4 orders per game when I tried that trick. I also advanced to midfield first to do that, which cost more orders. Given that I could have just used those orders entirely for firing with the X-visor at 10s... Next time I may just devote a whole first turn to that to erode the opponent's order base, remain castled and maybe move some support pieces into better positions with an order or two, -then- advance the second turn. Or I may just not rely on the Spec Fire ability and only use it as an opportunity thing when I have a few extra orders left at the end of a turn, or there's a target that HAS TO DIE and not a lot of other options (obvious Lt., Swiss Guard in Supp Fire, etc.).

To improve my future performance with the same lists, I would learn to use the units besides my Grrls better to counter aggressive alpha strikes. Vs. JSA for example I had Yojimbo do a suicide run right into my midst, which was annoying and disruptive enough to backfoot me and lead to one of those major losses. Had I placed my TR bot and perhaps Irmandinho better, I could have forced more smoke rolls or intercepted him with a decent CC unit, slowing that advance.

I could also practice using Spector better (timing and approach). He's powerful but has limited range and redeploy ability in a LImited Insertion format.

In my experience the Emily riot link has great potential but can very easily fall flat due to the sheer number of orders they eat. It might be a good idea to, as you say, just spend the whole first turn isolating as much as possible and then focusing the rest of the game on taking objectives

I am a die-hard brigada linker so this kind of info is very useful when considering options, thanks for the write-up!

    (damn you 403 forbidden error)

    Brigada LT - MultiRifle
    Emily CoC
    Riot Grrl - Missile Launcher
    Riot Grrl - Shotgun+Tinbot
    Riot Grrl - Specialist
    Riot Grrl - MultiRifle
    Spector AD
    Al'Hawaa - Forward Observer
    Major Lunah
    Cube Jager - SMG

This is the list i used at Brisbatario (our local Interplanetario clone event). I had another list but i ditched it after the first game.

Riot link was super strong. I lost 1-2 members each game but I tabled almost all of my opponents, and there were a few occasions where the Jager would walk onto the board and revive a fallen Grrl to renew the fireteam.

Emily attracted a lot of attacks, but generally it was the riot ML that did most of the damage.

Lunah was a great alternative to the Cateran, she was very intimidating and was able to bully LI and HI alike - she even took out a couple of Vet Kazaks.

In the end came 4th (out of 20), mostly on the strength of VP because i was 200+ points alive most games.

@Leviathan, interesting build! No Riot Grrl Spitfire in particular- that's my crutch for sure. :)

Lunah and the Jaeger are super interesting, might have to try those. The extra ranged striker must have been nice? Gotta say Avicenna gets serious healing work done though, it would be hard to give her up for a paramedic.

Glad to hear Emily attracts all the hate. Let them try for her, she can usually soak a good amount of orders!

I had more success in testing with the ML than the Spitfire, and since it was LTD insertion i was expecting lots of TAGs or HI pain trains.

Lunah was very threatening and did a lot of good work - in the end she was basicly just an upgraded Cateran.

Jager i really like. Avicenna is undoubtably a superior specialist and medic, but the times when the Jager could come on the backfield and light things up with the SMG were really useful - the paramedic stuff was mostly just for classifieds and for a contingency :)
