Ok, According to the twin weapon bonuses a direct template weapon such as a Chain Rifle or Nanopulser, you can apply +1 to Burst and in order to dodge several direct template weapons the trooper must pass a PH-3 roll instead of the normal PH Roll for Dodge. However, what happens when a Single Direct Template weapon such as a Chain Rifle gets +1 to burst due to being in a fireteam, would the trooper affected by the multiple templates the Burst 2 Chain Rifle can place receive the same PH-3 Dodge roll or is it something exclusive to Twin Weaponry?
The PH-3 only applies to DTWs from out of LoF, and would apply if you were using twin weapons or Fireteam bonuses. Dodging a DTW from a target you can see is flat PH, twin weapons and Fireteam bonuses don't change this.
It's a bit of a bad use of terminology, see the underlined. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Twin_Weapons In order to Dodge several Direct Templates placed in a single Order, the target must pass a single Normal PH (or PH-3) Roll. If successful, all Templates are dodged.
I have, on multiple occasions, made this mistake. Including in game and on the forums before a ninja edit 1 hour and 23 minutes ago. :p I think, but am not certain, that in previous edition there was a malus on dodging multiple templates.
