Yeah, that's kind of the problem I had with Emily, she's not really gonna be in the safest place when she becomes the LT.

I just worry because I feel like I never have enough orders for Avicenna. What a good specialist!

That's the point, either you care for Emily in order to use COC or you use her as the speialist she is.
Also it highly depends on how many medical classifieds there are in a game. So far with Experimental Drug and HVT: Playing Doctor there is much to do for her.

    As you wish: my Zeros!

Remember that you can be aggressive with her as long as that don't have shock or Da/exp. Move 6 from cover to cover, take the ftf combi shots, and if she eats a wound stitch herself back up and do it again. She can excel as a tomcat surrogate doing this.

Finally had my test game with the latest version of my camo heavy list. We played aquisition and it went quite desastrous for me since nearly every f2f roll failed. Emily was placed badly but she was quite resilient and could withstand Achilles' Spitfire for three Orders. But it was my Zero Sniper who could really shine: he alone was able to put Phoenix in NWI also he killed Scylla and furthermore Hoplite Achilles! As totally expected my Moderator Lt. was able to kill an Agema Marksman molesting my HVT. Thus I just lost 4:0 instead of 10:0 since my opponent could hack and control both antennas with a Dakini Tacbot Paramedic and a Proxy Mk. 5 FO.
The Taskmaster was disappointing, mainly because of shitty rolls.

The hero Zero right before burning to death thanks to the Taskmasters (my) shitty decision to shoot at the Agema in Phoenix' (behind my opponent's hand) sight.

The aftermath: basically no one is standing anymore except my Moderator Lt. (Phoenix' POV)

So in my local area we're running an interplanetario clone event (same tournament pack, same missions, same weekend) and I've been throwing together a bakunin list for it as well. Not exactly the same as what you're currently running, but there may be some crossover?

Kusinagi for data-tracker benefits, yojimbo to help cover the furry murder squads and be a fast legit threat all on his own, and 5 camo markers to do all the actual work.

Have you learned anything from your playtesting that might blow holes in this idea?

(Another option is to drop Bran for Spector and upgrade the zeroes to AHD).

I don't think it's going to play well... you have no ARO and like seven order-hungry dudes. If you go first, you could do OK, but if you don't I worry what would happen.

    Some specific feedback:
    • Avicenna has three Zondbots, but her only DZ buddies are Kusanagi and Yojimbo. I'm not sure you need any Zondbots for this list.
    • You have nothing to fear from hackers in this list, so KHD's are not very useful. I'd consider a FO and an AHD.
    • The cheaper Bran is better here - shooting is more than covered by your Prowlers.
    • You aren't using the extra SWC, so take the spitfire on Kusanagi. It's a stronger profile.
I feel like you had a vision of infiltrating and CCing, but found Bakunin skirmishers didn't cost enough to make a LI list. It's a trap I've fallen into many times and I think you need to take a step back and reflect on what everyone's doing in your list. Only one model a turn can be the rambo in LI.

Single Dogwarrior or McMurder gonna murder your list by himself. I strongly recommend, while practicing - play against McMurder. He is gonna end up in 70% of the lists.

I got a crazy idea for LI lists with 3 Taskmaster Red fury (1 of them is LT) and 3 Uberfall commandoes, but didnt have the models to playtest it. McMurder can be also mixed in for furhter lulz. Idea was - you have tough LT and 2 more Tough decoys.. if enemy Impersonator goes for the kill - he will probably die to koalas. List is almost immune to LGLs and HGLs. Has a lot of tough targets to kill and provide some board control ARO. You also have 3 attempts in killing anything in CC with Ubarfall (even Achilies cannot withstand the assault). Pupniks are also great to clear off mine fields.

Regarding the Rioot Grlls link.. they are one of the superior HI links here. Grrl with ML in a Link can be real problem to fight against in a 5 man link team. And thats also quite cheap link (around 160 pts). But in Spitfire, ML, 2 specialists (if needeed for missions) and a Tinbot Shotgun. Specialists provide extra ARO as they have Blitzens. Also stun grenades could be helpfull as well.

I would look for smth like this

Was Interplantery SoF? I don't remember

More Importantly can we finally agree to stop saying Correg has too few advantages if almost everyone is striving for their merc?

Yes its is SoF. McMurder can do nothing and die to ARO in his first order, or ruid your day, killing half of your list. He can go Toe to Toe with Achilles in CC......

Yeah, LI and SoF. It's also got a wide spread of missions - some kill, some zone control, one pure objective grabbing.

I was actually more worrying that I was too heavy on CC with 2 murder squads and Jimbo. McMurder seemed almost redundant alongside Uberfall (they're pretty similar), but I could swap him with Jimmy and finesse the points around a little.

As for the zondbots... partly its because there were a few points to spare. But its also because they're great for mine clearing and baiting AROs without sacrificing anything that actually provides orders.

Just realised also, i can easily get Emily in there to make Kusanagi an even better rambo.

I feel like Uberfall are better than McMurrough for limited insertion. Shorter, can't be flanked, occupies more space, cheaper.

Major Lunah sounds like the winning merc for Bakunin LI. Better than a Moira sniper, and five points less! +9 to hit will go a long way toward dealing with a Hac Tao.

Uberfall maybe better but they are harder to use, then McMurrough. Superjump also adds some versatility.

The Big question is for which of the missions will you use this list?
I don't see much use for it in Highly Classified. Since you'd be only able to fulfill seven of ten classifieds.

So far I learned that any camo heavy Lists are quite delicate when it comes to intuitive attacks. So far my opponents were really succesful with them against me.

Swapping Bran for Spector would reduce your total of regular orders to six. That's not much and you can expect them to decline.

This is my latest version. Due to Emily being not that useful as expected (she did always die before my Lt. and didn't do much) I thought about an alternative for the E/M LGL.

That's one of the things my Geckos have started handling on their way to... wherever they're going, for that exact reason. One of the tough things about facing Camo is that the counters don't have a neon "use against camo" sign, but when people know what to use you have to be smart with your deployment.

Yeah, I think i might reshuffle things to get Emily in there - covers 9/10 classifieds (only retroengineering is missing, and id need to repair a chimera anyway). the CC punch can be cut back to just the two murder squads, and also get some long range cover from a Cateran because the list was lacking that.

The alternative is just going back to StarCo, but hey. :)
