Interesting. I can see the point in this case.

    Seems bizarre

I'd rather they fixed that tbh, but hey ho.

    Not a Haris
    This is:
    [IMG] Japanese Secessionist Army
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────
    [IMG]3
    [IMG] KARAKURI Mk12, Chain Rifle, D.E.P. / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 40)
    [IMG] KARAKURI Mk12, Chain Rifle, D.E.P. / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 40)
[IMG] KARAKURI (Fireteam: Haris) Combi Rifle, Chain Rifle, D.E.P. / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 36)
    0.5 SWC | 116 Points
    Open in Infinity Army

Kornak is indeed close to them. While a 2nd true W/Shock Immunity is a very important thing the Yadu have over him he still gets useable CC, a LFT, BS14 and Strategos on top. Seems okay next to each other.

Bleeding over the boundaries of troop type and S values is something Aleph always did.
Achilles has a TAG statline, Asura/Joan cram a Profile even CA only gets on S5 into a S2 Silhouette.
A MI/REM with HI stats is not a new concept, just a continuation of an existing theme.

I don't know if Aleph needed a Hacking immune rambo piece that doesn't care about E/M or Jammers. Going for nice and reliable seems to be a good way to introduce competition for MSVs and ODDs though. Pretty stoked about the Yadu and Shakti. They seem great without turning any core mechanics upside down.
At the end of the day both are still just worse Sukeuls.

Compared to the Aleph troops, which seem useful but not over the top so far, TAK is a different story. The amount of cheap and or deadly Camo in TAK seems concerning. MSV3 pieces will certainly get a little extra edge now.

Camo SWC armed Specialist Lt is kinda unfair to hand out. CoC Ariadna already had, but CoC in Marker State was previously Haqq's territory. So far I don't really see what TAK is bad against, it's gonna be a strong Sectorial with 9 point Linetroopers and lack of MSV as only 'hamstrings'.

Should probably be noted that while the MK12 is a low burst, high DAM Spitfire at no SWC cost, it does come with a hefty price tag almost as high as said Spitfire. It's definitely a good gun, but it's absolutely not one of the "cheat weapons"

Well, I wouldn't call something that has a Hacking Device for "Hacking Immune"... xD

Two profiles that strike me as most Rambo-able, are Yadu HMG and Lt. Both can use an additional order for their rampage, HMG is all about straight up active turn domination, Lt. has a nice toolbox loadout - and with Shukra backup we don't need to be afraid about LoL.

Actually I think Yadu are perfect Aleph counter for the Ghazi menace.

It`s easy, Ariadna should have all the non-tech tricks with price discount)))
I hope this profile would be sectorial-only.

Mk12s seem to be 0 SWC more than anything else these days.

Eudorous and Wulvers are also Mk12 toters with a similar price and effectiveness to Shakti, both are better in overall stats and fighting prowess as they get Impetuous/Frenzy discounts but aren't a specialist like her.

Kornak literally does not have Netrods. Imetrons are unavailable in MAF. I don't think anyone has ever used Kornak as a LT in vanilla (why would they?). Four Gakis cost 34 points for five units. Never forget the Oznat tax that MAF must pay for Hungries.

Say that in a discussion where people are fawning over Yu Jing's 5 orders for 33/0.5

Yeah. People aren't listening to that argument.

Anyone who's got the book, would it be okay to post a photo of the G: Jumper LZ rules if they're in there? Us Aleph players are going nuts speculating what kind of rule could bring a profile like that up to 22C 1SWC, and I'm afraid that if we don't curb the more enthusiastic of our community with a dose of reality we'll soon be up to the really ludicrous ideas, and then whatever it actually is - no matter how incredible - will be a letdown to us all, even if only subconsciously, because some hopeful part of our brains wanted to believe the most out-there speculation.

Thanks if you can, will understand if you can't.

Coldfront is only introductory rules, not advanced. The new rules download will be updated once the Asparas are available for purchase.

Ah okay. I was just hoping, since the 300-point list was in the Coldfront book with an Apsara in it, that the Apsara's new rule would be there, too. Haven't actually bought a two-player box for Infinity before.

This is completely normal in this community and I guarantee that whatever people are coming up with, we've speculated way way dumber stuff in the past.
