Maybe new jumper allows to aro hack any hacking attack like sixth sense but not needing repeater. Or maybe link of posthumans. I'm going wild.
More wild guess: it allow you to take control any Hackable troopers within ZoC and Repeater distance, but Apsara will enter null state in the process until it was canceled. In short: Sepsitor lite
I bet the Cyber Dancer will be able to take control of remotes and use it's own stats in place of the remotes, but it won't be able to do anything while it's controlling another remote. Just my guess, considering Beyond Coldfront is giving ALEPH a shiny new REM unit.
And still I'd rather have a Naga. Or a Dasyu. Give her 6-2 movement to help with the sneaking game, then we'll talk. Interesting that they're kitting Andromeda out further though, perhaps folks really aren't taking her, and her relative lack of utility is not just a conceit of the forums.
So... who's up for carefully sawing off the wheels they give us, and putting ball bearings or something there instead, to represent the omnidirectional wheels Tachikomas have? Also, who wants to bet that if there is ever a Character that rises and becomes sapient from a REM profile, it's a character Rudra? Or maybe there's a mention that the reason they're AVA 1 is because there's concerns about how much smarter they seem to get when operating in concert, or something? Some mention that the Rudra contain code segments that concern some of the 'One human AI. EVER' people, or something?
Same, she's just difficient in fulfilling her purpose. The point discount for being S4 if you're a baggage bot/combat remote/biker, is a good deal. All those functions can hang out in the relative safety of your deployment zone and chear lead, or strike when it's opportune. Aleph has waaay better infiltaiting specialists, which is what she does, for similar costs, who can climb a ladder.... I'm also one of those people who are disappointed in her model. Fluff says ceutus is some creepy octopus sea monster looking breif case thingy. Sleek cat is lame!
So buff one remote with BS 13 instead of 11 or 12 for the new remote and WIP 14? Seems pretty limited for 22 pts and 1 swc. Putting it on a Dakini is even questionable for that point investment on a troop that does basically nothing by itself. It's a weird one for sure, I guess the 1 or 2 WIP improvement helps too?
I agree to an extent. I actually think the model is pretty good, just not for Andromeda. I expected something that would do the myth proud, especially given Carlos's hype about how cool it was going to be. Not just a pretty lady patting a derpy version of a Su Jian on the head.
I don't know, buffing a TR remote to BS13 seems like it might be pretty good especially once you add marksmanship, and if it is anything like Jumper lvl1 and allows you to move the cyberdancer's proxy marker around for free (say... if you activate a remote with a repeater you can move the cyberdancer to that remote or something) you could get a lot of incidental value from it. the WIP 14 would be helpful on FO bots and make Lamedhs slightly more annoying. At the very least, I run enough remotes in my Aleph that (assuming jumper lvlx is some sort of remote buffing ability) I would atleast consider it. That being said... it really does have to be a damn good ability, otherwise the Cyberdancer is a very expensive netrod.
While i love the sleek cat you have reminded me of this, and now i gotta model it somehow, even if i never use Andromeda on a list
I'm just imagining that Cetus is the natural evolution of those dogs some ladies carry around in their handbags. Like a cross between a pug and optimus prime.
We don't have rules, we have speculation. Rumor is that they can somehow jump into remotes based off their fluff in the cold front book. There is also some fluff in the end of the G:marionette rules which helps bolster this speculation.
