I'd expect that TAK will follow Gencon very closely. It would be bizarre for CB to release the Strelok + Antipode model and associated profile, then hold back the sectorial, the only faction that can actually take it (not available to vanilla Ariadna).


The dichotomy between Aleph, with its mass NWI, and TAK with ubiquitous T2 is hilarious to me.

Aleph: "All our troops have NWI, so you could say that we're pretty tough."

TAK: "That's nice, honey."

 

Tunguska are more "All of Eastern Europe In Space" in many ways. They do represent the sort of Modern Russian Capitalist/Mafiya type deal as well though, while TAK draw much more from Soviet/Post-Soviet military aesthetics in visuals (though they're not Space Communists, they live in Bakunin mostly...)

Tunguska are Bankers, TAK are Tankers, AFAIK.

 

TAK also aren't really in space. ;)

 

Actually they are. Planets are still in space. Theres no escape from space. :P

Someone somewhere on the forums mentioned the antipode in the beyond box, and how it's TAK exclusive. So that's gotta be a sort of soft deadline right. CB wouldn't dare sell us models we can't use yet. Or OR it's not releasing at gencon because it's releasing before gencon.

 

I don't know, didn't they release a mercenary on a bike that can only be taken in 1/20 games?

 

Actually, that's a thing to ponder. The advance pack thingy may only take each army to about 200 points and eight orders, so what could be in a basic Beyond box? The advance pack thingy™ has things in that get released on general sale later, but will they be part of a beyond?

Still technically useable as rules for it are in Army... Sort of :p

 

Advance pack is Asura and Strelok, doubt that'll take things to just 200 as the Asura is so many points on it's own, they will also be separate products when released to retail.

Beyond Box is Cyberdancer, Yadu Character, and new combat REM vs. Tankhunter character, Frontovik, and Strelok T2 MMR.

 

Don't we know exactly what beyond is?

Aleph: Apsara, Rudras, Shakti (which all seem to have minimal loadout options)

Ariadna: Frontovik (T2 Rifle), Strelok (T2 Marksman Rifle), Vasily (T2 Marksman Rifle)

I don't see them suddenly slotting in the advance pack on top of those 6 units, not least of all because we saw this artwork for it:

Sorry to disappoint, but sectorials are coming in a few months (not too long, but yeah).
Profiles will be added to army around GenCon, but vanilla only.

I'm playing vanilla Aleph as OSS the whole time, so I can wait a bit. What I'm hyped about right now, is the option of including in-house Vedic CoC, without either risking LoL after losing Marut, or comproimising and getting Myrm Officer :P
