I don't know, I think I still prefer a Veteran Kazak w/ AP HMG. SSL2 is SO good on such a strong HI. Anyone do the math on how much an advantage the extra burst from the dual molotoks is over a Kazak with AP HMG?

 

I pretty much agree. I wish oneof the profiles was 0swc. I wpuld buy that easily

Could bore you with the numbers, but as a quick summary Mimetism and the extra 2 DAM from the HMG compensate nicely for the extra Burst.

Which pretty much means the Ratnik has to leverage his initial ARM6(9), pseudo 3 Wounds, better Rangebands and the Panzerfaust damage potential.
Reminds me a lot about the Daiyokai, the Ratnik just doesn't seem to do anything special you really need.

 

Maybe he ends up in a harris team,lol...something tells me this aint gonna happen, but I would me much more inclined to take him this way. As it is now I will rather stick with vet.kazak in a link team. Though.molotok version will see some fights for fun.
Also, lt vet kazak with hmg might be fun to ise now that you can have coc t2 sniper sitting in the back. Even if vet kazal dies t2 sniper lt is gonna be kinda safe at long range+camo to use his lt order.

 

Off topic, but small complaint with the Coldfront Vet Kazak model. Wish he would be posed more like the "up yours" Vet Kazak in the box art, rather than the "I'm treading through water" pose he has now.

 

I see a slight chance for the Tankhunter LT being 0 SWC in the sectorial. That would still be steep competition with the scout, but probably worth taking.

 

I'm really looking forward to the TH character. Carlos hinted he may have CoC, and now I'm stuck thinking about all the shenanigans a LT. APHMG Vet can get up too. You got the WIP 14 for initiative, plus all the goodness of a Vet Kazak with an SWC discount.

 

If that's true the Ratnik will be even less desirable.

 

For me I'm only going to use the Ratnik because it looks cool. I don't like the stats on it, since a Vet going to be better most of the time.

 

I'm in the same boat, although the 2 molotoks profile has rambo potentials.

 

It calms me to see others share my doubts on the Ratnik. From the moment I saw the profile I felt rather disappointed by it's lack of "flash" so to speak.

And it's not like he'd ever bee in a link higher than duo, since the unspoken burst cap is 5, and he takes it with the molotoks. He could have had an uragan, katyusha or something along those lines and been miles better

My only argument for him vs the vet Kazak with HMG in a link is "Why not both?" at least in a 10-order list

 

I dont think that putting it in a mixed Harris would be impossible. That would sell the SWC for me a little. Say two frontniks and a Ratnik. Expensive and not overwhelming, but good.

Not for the Molotok, it's already at burst 5.

Putting the HRL in a Frontovik Haris would be interesting though.

 

I saw the Molotok profile as a bully, kind of "whatever comes to the middle i will smoke with 5 AP shots, dont care what it is"

 

I really hope he'll able to Haris. It's such a cool model.

One question, when will the sectorial be unlocked...when gencon starts?

 

Non-gencon shipping of Coldfront goes out early September. Typically they would release at the end of September.

As per mayacast, the sectorials are not coming with coldfront. That is later on.

 

Shame, I guess they might do the sectorials with the Beyond Box.
