Now that I have a few games of Tunguska under my belt, I've been running the following link: Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 5 SECURITATE MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 21) SECURITATE (Repeater) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) PERSEUS (Super-Jump) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / 2 Pistols, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 34) GRENZER (Forward Observer, Sensor) Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27) 1.5 SWC | 110 Points Open in Infinity Army I find the Multi-Sniper works well on defense, and using a Transductor to lay down sniffers lets me get off some sensors while moving the link around. Late game, Perseus has usually left the link to go pursue some kill. One weakness I've been running into is that even though really like the Grenzer FO, 4-2 MOV means he gets difficult to to maneuver with the rest of the team. I'll probably try the Grenzer MSL or MSR next. What have you guys been running, what has your success been like?
I think a 6 person link with an ARO piece is a great way to play them. Personally I haven't, but something like this: Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 6 SECURITATE (Repeater) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE Feuerbach / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 22) SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) GRENZER Missile Launcher / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 29) GRENZER (Forward Observer, Sensor) Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27) 2.5 SWC | 119 Points Open in Infinity Army Grenzer is your first ARO piece, when it goes down you reform the link and can stand the Feuerbach up as an attack option (potentially through White Noise). I like the idea of Grenzer as the primary ARO: using your Veterans as ARO pieces means that you're likely to lose some of your LOL buffer.
Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 5 SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE (Repeater) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE Feuerbach / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 22) GRENZER Missile Launcher / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 29) 2.5 SWC | 94 Points Open in Infinity Army I usually run sth like this. They stay in the back, ARO duty, or ML attacks when I have first turn. Then in he last turns the surviving securitates go for objectives or do sth else. Defensive link, I leave the dirty work to Hollowmen, Puppets and Spektres.
Isn't the maximum number of fireteam member 5? Did I miss something? Fireteam: Core EDIT: Ah, I see my error
ARO duty man dies, reform link to keep it at 5 man bonus. :) I'm intending to run them something like this: Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 5 SECURITATE Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE (Repeater) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) GRENZER MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 32) GROUP 2 5 SECURITATE Feuerbach / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 22) SECURITATE (Repeater) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) PERSEUS (Super-Jump) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / 2 Pistols, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 34) 2.5 SWC | 185 Points Open in Infinity Army Group 1 is the passive version Group 2 is the active attack link version. Feurbach long range and Perseus for the mid/close range engangement. :)
I've been running twin Feuerbach, twin Paramedic and a Grenzer ML in one of my lists, it's a bit explosive.
I`m going to use this team as list template: SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE (Repeater) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) GRENZER Missile Launcher / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 29) PERSEUS FTO (Fireteam: Haris) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / 2 Pistols, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 33) 1.5 SWC | 118 Points There is defensive core here with Grenzer ML and link can be reformed with Perseus as leader to push. Grenzer will be left at deployment roof in this case as weaker but still capable ARO piece. There should be Daktari somewhere to heal Grenzer but that`s not a core.
I’m curious by the lack of the Securitate HMG in all of your teams, do you just see Perseus as a superior gunfighting option due to ODD and NWI as well as utility with his smoke? Grenzer ML has been a staple for me, but the idea of him with 2 Feuerbach Securitate sounds pretty nasty.
I have been running this and it has worked well. Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 5 SECURITATE Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) SECURITATE Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SECURITATE HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 21) SECURITATE Feuerbach / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 22) 2 SWC | 84 Points Open in Infinity Army
My logic has just been that the HMG gunfighting slot is taken by the Kriza in most lists. I take the Multisniper to get something that can fight at a longer range band. Perseus has been pretty good the games I've played him in. It's not about superior gunfighting so much as superior flexibility with him.
Army link is being crap for me, but Perseus, Grenzer MSR, Grenzer Spitfire, Sec Paramedic and Sec LT. I find it does all the jobs I need from a core link, shooting at all ranges, CC, aggression, defence, smoke, MSV, objectives etc.
This isn't a valid link. The Perseus FTO profile (the FT:Haris one, not the SuperJump one) is the one that counts as a Securitate for Fireteams.
double Feuerbach, paramedic(or standard combi), LT and normally a Biometric grenzer (I have a ridiculous amount of Haqq in my meta) as a defensive link that usually moves out in the late game.
I am having a lot of trouble justifying Tunguska instead of Vanilla, tbh. Securitate are a defensive link (mostly) that can go offensive, but they get really expensive really quickly if they start mixing up with grenzers and the ilk. Grenzers have all the issues of a MI link - very expensive, very vulnerable to templates or crits. Even though they are great in general, the expense is there. Hollowman kinda forces you into a pain train. Kriza don't gain much linked, and also make for a *very* expensive haris with no specialist suport. That combined to the fact that hecklers are almost mandatory if you plan to have some midfield presence is making life quite hard when making tunguska lists.
Perseus Hmg Paramedic 2 repeaters Most of the links posted are some variety of defensive link. Securitate can be offensive too. A Perseus link with an hmg can out gunfight nearly anything, and if you can't out gunfight it, you can avoid it with white noise or smoke. I've been building a lot of lists around capture and protect and power pack for an upcoming tournament. Both lists for the tournament revolve around a offensive link to deliver Perseus to the beacon or objectives. Kriza are great, but even the multi rifle or mk 12 are vulnerable up close in a ways Perseus is not. I've mainly been using a hmg kriza for fire support, your link can't be everywhere so having a second pseudo linked hmg is useful. I also look forward to 2 grenzer MLs + securitate sometime, but the missions I've been practicing haven't been conductive.
I kinda like the idea of Haris with MR and AHD+Tinbot Hollowmen. You can drop it for a Hollowman Spitfire but the range and FA2 bonus is useful if you can fit it in. That's my actual problem with TJC is I get cool ideas like that but can't get in the things I think are necessary to make it work.
