Do we know which one is exclusive to operation box? For Kazaks it's surely ratnik. It has to be either rule of cool helmet lady or Adam Jensen.
I'd say it will be the Yadu lady, as they are presented appart from the rest of his crew in the video, although I could be wrong.
Dakini: Remote (Supportware: Marksmanship to ignore cover and apply Shock damage). Moves 6-4, so can go fast to mid-field. Then, Suppresive Fire: -3 (mimetism) -3 (cover) -3 (suppressive Fire) of BS 11 shock that ignores cover. They are more bumps in the road, but can be VERY annoying to non-MSV enemies. Once my Dakini paramedic kept in check a Seraph for the whole game (and killed its remote too). Also, paramedic: fast specialist of WP13, moves really fast, grabs objectives, retreats. Goes to roll at 16 against things with medic/paramedic bonuses, sadly those are less than they used to be (Cold Sleep, Supplies, etc...). And the usual combo was an Asura H+ dropping White Noise on top the Sniper Dakini with Supportware to hunt for enemy MSV-toting troops (like the Intruder or the Riot Grrrls!!!), imposing a -9 (cover, white noise) while shooting at 11+3 (distance, ignoring cover, suffering a -3 from mimetism sometimes). They are quite the workhorse, needing suport for going forward because of AHD... but now the KHD are the norm, so... Compared to them, the Unidrons from the CA are more long range-fitted.
Plus the dakinis have a great quality: STR with remote presence. They need 3 wounds to be removed from the battlefield, and are immune to shock/viral. Sadly they don't go prone when hit, but your opponent can't remove them just from a lucky crit from some shock weapon (read SMG). This means the opponent will have to either spend more orders killing it for real or see it being brought back again (and a single Engineer test is enough to bring it back from -1 STR to +1 STR). And they are cheap too.
Doubly so considering the "old" sniper naga got repacked with the mono-mine naga fall last year I believe. I'm still hoping this another of CB's typo and this is actually a Dasyus sniper.
Even so, both the naga and the dasyu snipers already exists and are not bad miniatures at all. If it's just to give a long range weapon, the dakini sniper which does not exists yet would have been a better candidate. And as for the naga, there are some profiles that does not have a miniature yet, or maybe a new profile.
Female dasyu sniper is a good idea in my lineup XD As for the Dakini, there is a hacker in the box. Placing a Dakini sniper would mean a) "basic" infantry with heavy weapon (never done before) and b) MM2 mimetic remote with a very long range weapon. Not ideal agains the 1W ariadna (aside for the Ratnik). I expect a SWC weapons box of dakinis in the future, however.
You have a point. As for a SWC dakini box, there is already the HMG blister, they could add the sniper and the LGL, but would they add a new SWC profile ? I would love a feuerbach, but it may be a bit too powerful.
feuerbach would be great. The hmg dak i'm certain will get replaced since it's the old dak sculpt. The other option in an SWC box is a hacker... maybe we get a dak hacker xD Or more seriously... dak paramedic?
Most recent SWC box includes a specialist of some kind, often hacker. Daikini don't have hacker, so my bet is on paramedic with a medikit gun (like the volunteer box)
Personally, for a SWC box I'd like the LGL, HMG, Sniper and possibly the Feuerbach. The paramedics we already have the ones from the starter, after all XD. Another option is HMG, sniper, feuer/lgl and a tinbot :/
Everything about the Dasyus pose is wrong : - Why rest the gun on your wrist while you are standing ? just hold the damn thing, or wrap your arm to your other shoulder and rest it between the forearm and the biceps. - Why lean foward like this while standing ? Is his back hurting ? - If you are lining up for a shot, why would you decide to have one foot on a damn debris instead of having both feed firmly anchored to the ground ?
Rule of cool, man. In the old XCOM game, all the snipers used to do this goofy pose where they steadied their rifle on their elbow. Unconventional? Yeah, but they look pretty cool doing it haha.
I think it's not the same pose... What you talk about is an actually real position to hold a precision shot while not higging the floor, while the dasyu uses his vambrace
