The Yadu looks more like a HI with Multirifle to me. I also have high hopes that one of the new Aleph units gets Counterintelligence. Would make sense in the lore.
She looks like HI to you? Unless she's packing an Asura level Lhost then she's probably not Heavy Infantry. Even the lightest Aleph HI are sporting more armor then the Yadu. If she is one though... I better be seeing that updated Asura profile sooner rather than later CB.
So yet another Ariadna BS14 ?:P Well for sure 1 profile must have a BSG as the video shows Ratnik holding Aleph made BSG (for some reason)....
Beacuse you go to an Aleph base into a secret mision and you bring with you a gigant mecha that decide to steal a shotgun from the base armoury beacuse why not
Only Margot has BS14, the Blackjack has 13 and that is probably more likely what it'll have. Still, it's probably going to make the Yan Huo look overpriced. And that Shotgun design is also reminiscent of the Yu Jing BSG design.
Do we have an up to date molotok design? I wouldn't even discount it being a Gecko-esque TAG (albeit that would be odd in a starter box) with a Low-tech operator set up.
I wasn't too excited cause neither Ariadna nor Aleph aren't my factions, but seeing the minis...hot damn. The dakinis are splendid and I like how they are different to hollowman. Also the Yoda lady is something special. The Russians are beautiful as well. Ratnik, gorgeous, is the cantrepiece of the box and very different to Blackjack which is great except for his hammer. It's a huge misteke IMO but nothing like a sharp pincers can't fix. Amazing box nonetheless. Corvus keeps pushing the barrier with the design and quality. Well done!
I have gut feeling that Yadu will replace Asura alltogether. And Asura will be available for "temporary proxy".
Not happy about that. The Asura Spitfire is the model that sold me Aleph as a faction, and it has been really frustrating to not be able to play her as much as I'd wanted since then (too expensive as Spitifre or too light armed/no specialist as the other two). EDIT: Also, I always saw her as a mirror to the Charontid and that one got a new model, but kept the profile not long ago... (and that one, the Hac Tao and the Asura are kind of a triad of very similar HI troops)
Or they simply didn't want to put an MSV3 model in the 2 player box. 2 player box are here to teach you the basics of the game. That includes how camo works and how detection works. Having an MSV3 from your first game will give you a biaised POW on how efficient is camo.
My first thought was "counter-intelligence on ALEPH would be a bit strong considering 80/90% of the lists are 1 group" then I looked over to Tunguska's unit prices and was like "Well, I mean ..."
Yeah, having an auto-camo-discover vison on one side while the other relies on camo & mimetism could tip the sacles of the balance.
One small comment : every mini of the box is identified (with the name of the unit on the video) except the one that looks like a woman tankhunter AP rifle. Is it a mistake, or is it a sign there is still a surprise left ?
