With pleasure. P.D. my bet for the box: 3 line Kazaks 1 Veteran T2 the shadow in the midle of the picture 1 Shotgun Scout 1 female Tank hunter with adesive launcher the female shadow The new S5 IP
Seems like a good guess. I really hope one of the line Kazaks has his collar fully buttoned and just his nose and eyes are peeking out. That is one of my favorite sculpts from the old models.
I for one am excited at the prospect of our new Redjack, I mean Ratnik overlords, all hail space Russians.
If the Ratnik is in the 2 player set, it will be an HI not a TAG. Maybe a near-like TAG like the new JSA HI : 2 WO + NWI, high Arm, fatality An idea coming from a post on the news forum, what about the ratknik being an mechanical deployement sapper HI ? With an artillery weapon and some kind of suppresive fire-able weapon ? It would be insanely vulnerable to hacking but on the other side it would be one hell of a roadblock
I don't see ojotniks inthe shadows. I'm not sure if its an scout or a new troop, but for sure that the weapon is a shotgun. Enviado desde mi SM-T550 mediante Tapatalk
Crazy thought: Could the fluff description of the Radnik disengaging it's mufflers indicate Mechanical Transmutation? Seems unlikely, and I have no idea how that would work with Low-Tech A.
What people think are the scout everyone thinks is a wardriver, which the helmet seems to fit the bill, and a sniper shot from last month was most likely a wardriver. Plus with the 2player box having aleph, and a aleph sectoral with a major strength being hacking. I can see a wardriver making some sense... that and it's something nice to have and hasn't had a mini but a dossier. New tankhunter... yes, YES! I love the tank hunters, and I'm sad there's no re sculpt for the autocannon one. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the T2 rifle, but do you think the chest looks bulky enough for a vet? Vets in their concept art are usually pretty beefy.
Ratnik speculation: S5 HI or maybe even S6 HI, Dual Uragans + an Ojotnik or Feuerbach, Low-Tech A but the Battle Ravaged profile will have Vet Lv2. CC18 AP CCW (for bloat). The other profile will have an AP HMG or something.
It can also be: 3 line Kazaks 1 new troop with ap rifle 1 Shotgun Scout 1 female Tank hunter with adesive launcher the female shadow (its seems the case but im starting to change mi mind) 1 ratnik Well IDK we will see tomorrow.
I never play a tankhunter without heavy weapon so this one will stay in my shelf but the scout boarding shotgun will be a boon. I love the profile and play it in at least half of my list, having a mini for it will be great. Regarding the Ratnik being in a starter, it's likely but it also mean it won't be a TAG (sadly for show of force) but only an HI Also a rifle Veteran is very likely to be in the starter so the tankhunter or the new unit of your list will likely be replaced by him (her ?)
Never tried a TH with glue? Is awesome and a great leutnant! During N2 used to be my main LT option, and nowdays is still one of my options when I have some extra SWC. Enviado desde mi SM-T550 mediante Tapatalk
I can very warmly recommend the Tankhunter LT. Not for every mission of course, but I quite often end up with one in my second list when taking vanilla ariadna to tournaments. Think decapacitation, hunting party and the like. 1 SWC tax usually isnt a problem, not sure how this will be in TAK though.
If I need a camo lieutenant, I prefer the scout. It cost no SWC and I need all my SWC for my hmg/AP HMG/autocanon. Plus, infiltration make him easier to hide somewhere hard to access
I am betting the RJ is a HI. It would be too much cost to have a full on tag in there. However, it begs the question what does it actually do without invalidating the Blackjack. My main complaint with the vannila vs sectorial situation is that there are a lot of units that are flat out worthless in vanilla vs just being more specialized. In Ariadna, most of best units are stacked in Russia so when TAK gets put out it seems like it would really be just plain better than the others 3 sects.
No, you will be sorely missing your cheap skirmishers and throwaway warbands. Scouts are great, but expensive. They don't have flamers and minelayer skills. Spetsnaz are effective paracommandos, but pretty pricey as well without even packing heavy weapons. I believe the TAK sectorial will be good, but not so great you won't be playing anything else anymore. Build a 300 points list according to what you can reasonably believe TAK will allow you to field and then ask yourself the question whether you think that this is the best Ariadna force there could be. I once tried this and my points were running out faster than I had liked.
