How do you feel about mixed Fireteams in sectorial?

Domaru have an FO profile in JSA that they can bring to all their links.

I'm really surprised that Domaru received one, while Loup Garou didn't receive a paramedic or any other specialist (or d-charges) in the update. For riot control/swat, they don't really show it.

 

Well, apart from the Karakuri Haris, but the Geishabots are FOs themselves.

 

Fair point. I always thought of that as a Karakuri link with Domaru, but that’s only because there are two of them.

"Unlimited 3man myrm links with specialist": starting cost 31pts (hacker) + one enomotarchos (40pts) means that, aside from Machaon and the Myrm Officer's haris (35+16+16+0.5SWC and 34 +16+16+1SWC; and that is a combi or BSG with 2 chain rifles!) you don't really have that many...

Sure, it's "infinite fireteams". Now tell me when was the last time you saw a Tohaa army with, let's say, five triads? The limit is both points and cap, and in the end, the effective number of fireteams SP deploys is... two.

Personally, I would prefer a rework with Thorakitai getting Core and Myrmidons an Enomotarchos of 2-3 myrms (so Haris, but you can deploy more than one), with the only Duo bein the Achilles + Patroclus. And moving Thrasimedes "back" to the myrms, too.

I don't remember where in the Forum I posted an updated version of this list that included Symbiomates (there's still 1 free CAP for them, you just need to downgrade a little bit some Kamael and Sakiel to get the points).

I love mixed fireteams, and I want them to go back and update the first round sectorials from N3 to allow for more of them. It allows for more variety both within and between sectorials.

I like Enomotarcos as is. I like it from a different fluff and play style perspective. I would not like to trade for a CORE and Harisis, I like SSL2 on my links. (FWIW I don't think phenonix is taxed, 2 SWC on that chassis for a HRL seems like a bargain). It would be nice to have another thorakiti link leader, Nisae's SWC cost is prohibitive.

 

I voted I'm not particularly fond of them from a lore and/or rules viewpoint while the idea is nice and there are interesting and balanced links, most of time it is take 3 cheerleaders and 2 cool models in order to spend less points on your fireteam.

 

Yeah, don't be obtuse people. I don't think I've ever seen 3. The only way you would is if they're taking them like a duo, which still isn't a unique thing. It's not like Tohaa where the third triad can have a cheerleader, CoC and a sniper.

 

Not everyone plays 300pt games. There are often 400pt games in my area, where you can fit a lot more in. And yes, I've seen five triads quite often, even in 300pts.

Your current suggestion isn't what you had been talking about before, unless I was misunderstanding or I had missed it. I'm all for that. I thought you have been talking about removing Enomotarchos all together and just have core and haris options instead.

 

The overwhelming majority of players play ITS. Applying a set of rules or concepts you've learned in a format that only your local meta plays, while interesting, is not representative of or comparable to the point that was being made.
