I'd kill for a balmy -20°C... this is what my phone told me.

You have my deepest sympathies, I personally find cold weather annoying and depressing so moving somewhere without it has resulted in me being much happier, it's a shame not everyone has the same option.

Everyone will have the option to live in a much, much warmer world if a certain orange-hued someone has his way.

Personally, this sort of weather (here in the Washington DC area) is nearly perfect grilling weather. As long as there is no wind... We do need a gentle snow to make it perfect. The sizzle as each snowflake hits the grill cover... Music for the soul. Grilling in the Winter Gloaming.

    Eh bien, February releases.

Give us the Svalarheim Sectorial list CB, you scamps! To go along with that nice Hospitaller box (which will be available in February.)

Otherwise, no real requests. I have plenty of minis that I need to paint. I won't be buying more until April, at the earliest.

    But...

    -Something Vedic would be nice.
-Asawira, A Khawarij? There is very little left that Haqq really need-needs.
    -The Guarda De Assalto resculpt.

Wow. Colder than I do remember in my place, like, ever in my memory. We hit -20 a few years ago, true, but that was it... and yet you are a bit less to the north than me! :P
...then again, Szczecin is known for its mild climate...

We are currently in an 'extreme cold warning' right now. The over night is supposed to be -31, effectively -50 with wind chill...

Chiquititos, Y'all do know that it is winter.

This means that: It is cold outside. There is no kind of atmosphere. I'm all alone, more or less. Let my fly far away from here. Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun...

    Someone else can continue...

You seem to misunderstand. Part of living somewhere that has temperatures like they are now means that one of the general population's past-times is complaining about about the cold while simultaneously feeling smug about being able to handle it compared to more southerly denizens...

As long as I can feel smug about this forecast in the middle of winter, they can talk about their awful weather as much as they like :D

That'd be odd as USARF already has a big box and tbh without inventing new units there's not a lot of new stuff they could put in. If it's a regular Ariadna list, then why the USARF Spec Ops? Doesn't fit imo.

A USARF spec ops character is something they are missing though, as is Onyx, and I reckon every Sectoral is due to get one.

@robot_jones cute Grunt Spec Ops incoming? You been sending those pictures to Interruptor?

Lizard rescuplt in line with the new Szalamandra would be right up my alley but I suspect I will have to wait a while for that.

Right I'm not saying it's impossible, it'd be just weird. Leila is also a Bahram release, but then again there's no Ramah anyway. So I guess there's a precedent.

What would be weird? All the Dire Foes characters are from one sectorial (well, they’re from one troop type so they generally are from one sectorial), and both the 2 player starters so far have been vanilla and they said that the starters won’t be sectorials. When Red Veil was released, they also released a dire foes box with a Celestial Guard and a Ghulam spec op to make it 200pts each side. If they did an Ariadna vs CA 2 player starter and release a Grunt vs Nexus dire foe box, it would be the same situation as Red Veil.

So you're thinking the Ariadna would be drawn from the yet-to-arrive Kazakh sectorial and the CA would be largely . . . Shas?

If it does turn out to be a 2 player set, then yeah probably. A new Ariadna starter that works as a Kazak starter, maybe a Shasvastii starter but that works in vanilla (because they said the 2 player starters won’t be sectorials, only vanilla, but CA have a vanilla starter).

    Where was this mentioned?

I haven't sent any. I mostly do them for fun, and the CB crew probably has it all down

So if we were to get the CA (Shas) vs Ariadna (Khazak) starter, that would put us at starters for PanO, Nomads, Yu Jing, Haqq, Ariadna, and CA, leaving only Aleph, Tohaa, and now (theoretically) mercs. Since I doubt, with the release of a starter with CA/Ariadna this year we would see ANOTHER 2 player box with Aleph and Tohaa and we know Aleph is getting Vedic sometime this year, that would mean the next 2-player box, if they did Aleph vs Tohaa, would likely include either Aleph's third sectorial or a redesign of Steel Phallus.

Which is interesting cus I can kinda see an Aleph vs Tohaa box as the 'starter' for Acheron Falls, although obviously I have no idea what the storyline will be, but if it isn't (and Acheron Falls is totally separate), then it would make the most sense to release an Aleph/Tohaa starter before the next book. Which means either a delay in the next book even further, or Aleph vs Tohaa is soon on the horizon :)

For February I'd imagine it will be largely faction fill-out in prep for March and Adepticon.

Or they could release 2 Dire Foes box this year... Or this Dire Foes might be the next Army Boxes... or... XD
