Hey guys, I'm a humble MO player and I'm soon participating in the tournament with LImited Insertion / Soldiers of Fortune rules. Missions are going to be mostly about shooting and dominating quadrants, though a few specialists for pushing buttons and doing classifieds never hurt. Use both Emily's EM Grenades/X-Visor and Clipper in conjunction with Pathfinder to hit enemies with Suppressive Fire / Guided amunition from unexpected angles. Bulleteer is generally good at killing stuff. Not sure about KTS as an Engineer, but he seems to be able to do a lot more stuff than Avicenna as a Doctor. It does not smell like Military Orders enough, though...
Well 10 orders are not big amount when it comes to speculetive fire ;/ You really need more orders to pull it out, but in LI it might be difficult ;/ (unless you luckily hit whole enemy HI link and immobilise most of them). Why not getting a typical Doom link + Emily+ McMurder + chaff (TO MSR) etc. ? )
Doom link (I mean full Hospitaller + Joan / De Fersen or Santiago + Joan) is way too expensive and is not flexible, unfortunately From the other side, Hospitallers + Magisters look pretty good So I've made up another list, this time 90% pure MO with the best mercenary hacker we can get (De Fersen is not cheap and cannot do stuff like Spotlight, Fairydust etc.) Is this viable? The Santiago might have a hard time being the Lt outside of a link. Frenzy could get him killed in the long run.
An alternative option is to have Combi Father Knight Lt, who's worth the same points. He's more sturdy, does not have frenzy, but way less scary in a shootout compared to Spitfire Santiago Lt (as well as worse at defending DZ during first and possibly second turn). Would you rather use FK instead of Santiago?
I'd be more inclined to find the points elsewhere so you can bring a scary threat like a spitfire father-knight. If you have a frenzy Lt in soldiers of fortune tournaments, someone might goad you into killing a yuan yuan first turn to give them an edge the rest of the game. You could drop Uhahu and the Santiago and add father-knight spitfire Lt + Fusilier hacker and you still get hacker defense.

(0.5 | 18) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army It's 100% MO, 0% Mercenaries Was wondering if there's a way to make a good use out of mercenaries - like better support troops (since Pano shitty WIP does not allow for good specialists), or chain of command + aggressive Lt, or some tricks with smoke, or some good counter against HI links of the opponent. So far it seems that the counter is just shooting everyone to death... Are we doing this right?
The problem is Limited Insertion. The Joan + max yuan yuan + max warcor is insanely good, it's just not an option for limited insertion.
A Joan LT doesn't looks like a bad idea bc you can run 2 warcors, tech bee, mc murrough, uahu and emily. Then go nuts pointwise with your 3 remaining slots. Emily is specially good because her chain of command, so you can push with Joan too

Warcors and hide TO sergeants amongst the chaos and confusion Both knights of the holy sepulchre are supposed to be very, very potent killers, while sniper sergeant supports their advance and provides AROs in critical moments and TOFOOS does the mission, pushes buttons, etc. Joan allows us to move this force forward on her coordinated order rather effectively and can be played aggressively as well thanks to Emily Avicenna with palbots to patch the guys up on 18- and as a really good specialist. Would be super crazy to go with 3 KotHS/Spitfire, but mercenaries+Emily require 1.5 SWC, which is more than I have...

It doesnt have a lot of specialists but its for kill and area missions.
