I thought this rule could be more interesting if it lets you make some kind of ARO inside your zone of control.

For example Voronin is placed inside a room and reacts to a nearby enemy in his ZOC and LOF, Voronin could make a Face to face roll using his CC and the guard bonus like burst 2 damage +1 or enemy -3.
This situation represents Voronin letting free his antipode to attack the enemy defending himself.

This change could synergize well with the profile adding value and making it more useful as LT even outside Limited Insertion.

In my opinion infinity is starting to have too many rules but with some changes the already existing ones could be more fun or interesting.

Guard needs to either be rolled into Martial Arts or made more distinct from Martial Arts. As it is now, it's mostly a label of "this model is not worth using" :(

It should just be, like, a combo of I-Kohl and Sixth Sense L1.... or something more basic, like, +1B in CC.

Personally I feel like it should have just been G:Synch instead. They've all got a friend, but it's stuck to their silhouette instead of being able to move separately at all.

I agree, would be better if they were just g:sync melee monsters.

Edit: Or, hell, just make them really big fluffy crazy koalas except they're reusable.

id almost like to see guard as akin to Symbio mates....
I mean think about it, the profiles it is on wouldnt actually be that bad if they could ignore the hits for 1 order
Would also make sense for a "body guard" to me

The problem with the current Guard rule is that it's giving CC bonuses on models that never wanted to be in CC in the first place, coupled with the disadvantage of a larger silhouette. Andromeda can certainly get more out of it than Voronin, but honestly I don't think Voronin's Guard L1 and CC 18 is enough to dissuade a dedicated melee attacker such as a Fiday, which is going to have Martial Arts L3 and will frequently benefit from Surprise Attack.

The most egregious thing is he has an entire canine antipode, which on its own would have cc20, ph15, mimitism and sensor...
Sixth sense takes care of the surprise attack mod, but yeah MA3 will effectively cancel out guard L1. :unamused:

I don't like Symbio mates they go against the core rules of the game. they don't feel good at all.
