Guys - try to imagine a Vanilla Limited Insertion full camo list :) What a possibility of a Jammer Heckler does to enemy psyche against such a list...

Was thinking about the Jammer profile back in March, and I'll say the same thing now as I did then: very cool, and very appropriate on a unit that isn't a 5-point Impetuous model. The Red Fury is my favorite. That weapon, on that profile, at that price point, is simply a winner. A couple of Heckler Red Furies and a Kriza Borac is going to be very, very hard to oppose reactively. Anchor them with Securitates, pad it out with Orders and Specialists, and that's a very strong force.
I'm intrigued to see if this makes jammers feel even worse or if more factions having access to them makes them seem less broken.
Yeah it honestly wasn't the Jammer itself it was the WIP, DTW and Dogged that came with it. Tunguska is going to have all the firepower it needs without using the Core freeing up using your Core for wierd stuff. Like how I like to use 4 Wildcats just to fill Lt. and SS2 AHD, or using a Jaguars in a small CG just for a reactive smoke screen. edit: I say this like having two 2B LFT in your DZ isn't also part of the Wildcat link, that's a big one.
I think the jammer itself still might pose an experience issue regardless of the cost of the platform, much like symbiomates. It just ignores a number of fairly core mechanics putting it in an odd spot.
Trying to stay moderate because when we become excited and call the unit amazing, panO wins. In the context of tunguska, I think this will be a good zero approximation. It supports the hacking game or controls the midfield in a very nice asymmetric way. He won't have as direct impact on the meta like kriza did. I'd be surprised if they became the highlight of our lists. Maybe a squad of spitfires, but i see that profile as more of a place to spend your last swc. They will be amazing support pieces that will dictate the flow of battle while rarely ever pulling the trigger themselves.
Jammers are actually like Chain Rifles in the sense that an individual Jammer attack isn't all that likely to land its effect, and it already has existing soft counters (Stealth, Marker State, high BTS, Veteran, etc.) The Heckler also does not have Haqq-level WIP, and needs to break its very valuable Limited Camo state to use it. I don't think a rules revision is necessary here.
When/where did this happen? The burst bonus never has, and the -3 always has afaik? http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Full_Auto -3 is any ftf bs attack, burst applies active turn only?
It seems they are about to FAQ it, doesn't seem like it's been handled well. Consensus, and the rules as written, has always been that they stack. Supposedly it was never intended to be this way. Suppression isn't affected by automatic skills, FA2 is an automatic skill. They aren't the same modifier. Hence they stack. Presumably one of those rules is going to be rewritten. Makes the "fluff" of Full Auto a bit weird when looking at it in the reactive turn. Edit: spelling.
IJW confirmed that it is an upcoming rules change. It's an errata that got put in place early, not an faq in the strictest sense.
Would have been better handled leaving it till they landed that FAQ, as it is apparently due "Soon" based on a post from a similar date. Anyhoo.... back to the heckler! I think the jammer will be really interesting on him, you'll be able to use it much more tactically than the mutts are able to, and that can only increase the shell game. You won't find people leaving their units on the other side of a building/wall to our camo markers anymore. Interested to see what the cybermines will be, I like the idea of a mine that only triggers vs hackable targets, with something like Gotcha! or Blackout. Wouldn't want to see anything explicitly killer-hacker in style, that will have limited use, especially on a killer hacker profile.
