I really mean it - at least we'd know where we stand with the army and whether it's worth your hobby time or not. For example, I also have USARF, and since I now they are done, I don't expect anything new for them, ever. So I am never disappointed. Discontinuing Tohaa could be a good move :)
You shall now be called the Tohaa-doom-preacher. There is no reason to go panic on every subforum preaching the end of Tohaa just because some other sectorial (notice the emphasis here) is put on hold (not removed) for a year / couple of years. Come one now, you can't compare the state of FRRM range of figures with the Tohaa one. I started tohaa a couple of months ago and I felt it was the best moment as would ever be. The army is really stable and the range of figurines is good except for the sakiel box of course (but I have a theory on that)
He's already deadly enough, some troop should forever remain Ava 1, the move 6-4 demo charge medic engineer super commando of the CA
I have a theory, that if we do finally get the sakiel box then we tohaa players will realise that the faction is complete and actually doesn't need further work. We wouldn't have any reason to complain anymore ! (can you imagine ?) And suddenly people could the rumbling complaints about the OP symbiomates or the overwatch bullshit triad.
I guess we also know we're not getting a Chaussures now [emoji14] Sent from my SM-J320P using Tapatalk
Not every subforum, just four of them :p And I also want my Taqeul, my HMG Sukeul, my Boarding Shotgun Clipsos... not only the Sakiel Box.
YJ is put on hold for a year or more, but MRRF is frozen indefinitely, perhaps N4 will come out without any revised profile for the merovigian troops.
I definitely feel like the MRRF will be back at some point, in some form. CB might look into them in a few years as a new release, something that vets can remember from back in the day.
New sculpts for old profiles doesn't do much in an era where you can officially proxy anything for anything. Vanilla YJ players, after their heavy loss of profile, were told to go play ISS. That is what i'll call being put on hold.
And to think that yesterday, the general-release CSU was the one that seemed the strangest on that list. Oh well.
Set back a year (or two) isn't the same as being put on hold ;) And look on it from the bright side; more than three months head notice and treated the faction and players with due respect this time! Though I'd doubt MRRF makes it into N4 unless CB figures out what to do with them (I'd rather expect that in that case, a select few units becomes Mercs)
I'm not upset with the frrm being discontinued. In fact, I'd like CB to discontinue all pre-N3 minis for later resculpts and stop re-packs of new and old minis....like the tankhunter and tanklet - what a joke
