My meta is steadily shifting to the more button-pushy scenarios now that our most recent tournament (Direct Ops) has passed. I think these guys could be rather clutch in missions like Tic-Tac-Toe where the bugs can cover a LOT of ground denial.
For me, the Taqeul is "her", as I proxy it with the Female Rasail. Has anyone tried using Rasail and Taqeul at the same time? Some kind of Anvil + Hammer list?
I tried it and it was the pure horror of my enemy. It was during the Wotan time so I dont know the excat list anymore. but it was a 7 order first group 6 order second group list. Basically first turn, Rasail wrecks about 100 points and dies in the enemy turn (took nearly his entire turn thanks to chaksa and mate) My second turn was button pushing (first group with former Rasail) and then Ramboing with the Taquel who took out about 80 points. After that my opponent conceded The Taquel is one of my favourite models in Tohaa
Just to see if I understand symbiobugs right (Tohaa first fraction) they move together with the Taqueul, you can use a short order to order them to stop moving with the Taqueul. And in the enemy turn they attack the first enemy getting in range even the ones that I didn't use a short order on? If the Taqueul dies the ones which I spent a short order on still function and the ones I didn't stop functioning?
Right. They are basically Crazy Koalas but without shock DAM 13 against BTS AND on top of that they are targeted. So if you have the Classified to FO someone you can have it through the bugs
Why with 5 orders? I got 7. My opponent took from the other group. I had a Sukeul K1 in the other group and he had an Iguana. The K1 looked more dangerous for him. The Rasail went forwards, killed a Masai (Koalas went with the Mate) and with the rest of my orders The Rasail munched the TAG

He had a Krizac with SMG and 360°, 2 x Spectre, 2 x Interventor, 2 x TR drone, Chimera, Wildcat and Clockmaker with 1 G:Servant I took first turn and he reduced the 2nd Group. Kamael took out one TR Drone and the Sukeul the other. Taquel marched forward and parked the Bugs in Krizac range (only because of the Targeted state). Rasail went forward and barely reached the Krizac (with LT order) getting one crit. He had not much orders and revealed a Spektr in front of the Krizac who dodge sucessfully the Bugs. Krizac and an Interventor combined to take the Rasail out. Didnt make it because of the Mate and the Krizac died to the Heavy Flamer. Interventor retreated and shot with the boarding shotgun on the chaksa rolling double 1. My Rasail rolled a 2 but the Interventor saved thanks to the BTS 9. The other Spektr appeared and tried to reach the Sukeul but was discovered by Makaul and Kumotail. My second turn and the Rasail still stood so I shoved him more into his throat and killed nearly everything. The Taquel secured one Objective and ran into my Deployment His second turn (he had about 80 points left) he appeared the Wildcat and tried to secure my HVT. Also killed finally the Rasail Third turn Taquel gave the Objective to the Kumotail and went to the HVT and Kidnapped her. Kosuil buried the secon Objective but I had no orders left in first group so a Makaul had to get it. His last turn was placing a repeater near one Chaksa (Chaksa ran ther to prevent Camoing) and got one of his Classified (hacker needed to hack someone) I am really impressed by the Rasail Taquel Combo!
Yes I was in about 34 Inches. I have lost the first shoot out but luckily I rolled never under 15 during the first shoot out
The Rasail triggered the Koalas and instead of making a dodge or the ARM roll i used the SymbioMATE ;). Yet I am not sure if Bugs can activate Koalas. Bugs can activate mines but for other Perimeter weaponry I am not sure

(0 | 10) 5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army Played this earlier vs a buddy to give Taquels a go, mission we played was Safe Area. Really fun area denial list. My opponent won the dice off and chose deployment, I opted for going first and basically burnt 3 command tokens turn one to death march the Taquels & Kaauri up and followed the Chaksa on the flanks and kept my opponent locked out of the board, forcing him to chew orders up just to advance between Bugs, Kaauri, Clipsos and Chaksa. Might try to cram in a SymbioBomb Kaeltar and give the Taquels bombs as well. May be overkill but I have to try it.
So reviving this thread once again, I played a game yesterday with 2 Taqueuls, it was some getting stuff in the middle and bringing it in your DP Zone game. After the game my only thought was why would I take Taqueuls instead of Rasails, they have similiar price so I compared these two. The bugs are nice but the chaksa from the rasail is also a good choice, Taqueul has one bs more, rasail more wound etc so my result was Taqueul with CoC is a specialist but a slow one so he is ok that way and otherwise he is only intresting defending stuff, the huge advantage of the taqueul compared to the rasail is that he can be used with coordinated order while the rasail can't

(1.5 | 36) 6 SWC | 294 Points Open in Infinity Army the kaauri sniper were ok, the nikoul got taken out by imp-2 units, the kotail was awesome, the clipsos and the igao didn't really get any play cause I wanted to try taqueul so focused on them (how do you add army lists here in a readable way? imma see if I can find out)
