With Endsong dialing back the stakes severely I've got an interest in getting back into the lore. Over the past many years, the lore has suffered from the GW syndrome of raising the stakes to the point that the threat of the CA was so great that inter-faction warfare with Black Ops made no sense as they would effectively be treason since they had a high risk of lowering combat readiness and thus aiding and abetting the enemy. And for a game supposedly about Black Ops that's a severe issue.

As a result, I turned off the lore for many years and lost track of the publication order of the books. What is the reading order of the lore books so you get the complete timeline?

I think that Uprising follows N4 and after that, I'm lost.

    Campaign Paradiso > N3 > HSN3 > Uprising > 3rd Offensive > Daddy's Fall > N4 > Raveneye > Endsong

Edit: For the comics, Outrage happens shortly before Uprising, Betrayal is around the time of 3rd Off, and my copy of Aftermath is still in transit but it features a returning protagonist from Outrage.

The extended version of the chronology, of what CB published from N3 until now, would be:
    • N3
    • Operation: Icestorm
    • Human Sphere N3
    • Operation: Red Veil
    • USAriadna (Army Pack Booklet)
    • Outrage
    • Strikezone Wotan (Narrative Campaign)
    • Uprising (which includes the Dire Foes released up to this point 1 - 7)
    • JSA (Army Pack Booklet)
    • Kurage Crisis (Narrative Campaign)
    • Third Offensive
    • Operation: Coldfront
    • Daedalus' Fall
    • Dire Foes 8: Nocturne
    • Spiral Corps (Army Pack Booklet)
    • Operation: Wildfire
    • Asteroid Blues (Narrative Campaign)
    • Betrayal
    • Dire Foes 9: Datacash
    • Operation: Kaldstrøm
    • Dire Foes Alfa: Retaliation
    • Defiance
    • N4
    • Dire Foes Beta: Void Tango
    • Operation: Crimson Stone
    • Dire Foes Gamma: Xanadu Rush
    • Dire Foes 10: Slave Trophy
    • Raveneye
    • Operation: Blackwind
    • Dire Foes Delta: Obsidian Head
    • Durgama Takeover (Narrative Campaign)
    • Dire Foes 11: Failsafe
    • Dire Foes 12: Troubled Theft
    • Endsong
    • Shattergrounds (Narrative Campaign)

The background of the RPG books would be, approximately, between Operation: Icestorm and Operation Wildfire/Operation: Kaldstrøm, but in any case prior to N4.
