    Okay, I really like a lot of stuff about the Modiphius RPG. I love the character creation process, I enjoy the way heat works even if it is a little gamey, and I really dig the additions they made to the lore.

    There's one big, big, big BIG problem though:

    The combat is a mess;
    I like to play over a table, and any combat that requires me to check for 2-3 effects and skills and bonuses feels too slow and not dynamic enough. I already think other systems are cluttered as all hell, and yet this system is even more cluttered.

    One interesting suggestion I've seen is making combat more like the Skirmish game, where weapons have a fixed damage value and you roll your armor against that value. Of course, this would need to be balanced with the new armor system, because in the RPG an Orc is almost immune to combi rifle fire, and that's very much not the case in the table top.

    So I need ideas. Has anyone tried to make the combat (specially the damage) system more dynamic?

    Wasn't the bonus content for the conversion rules from RPG character to Infinity miniatures game tabletop stats unlocked?
    Or maybe try to do it yourself.

    I didn't get the kickstarter. I bought the book when it came out normally. That's why I'm checking to see if anyone else has tried this before.

    @DaRedOne . . .

    Unfortunately You had to pass for the Game that I'm Mastering (also this Summer was a peculiarly. . . . .Complicate. . .period for Me, as Family somehow managed to harass Me in ANY conceivable manner. . .and also some INCONCEIVABLE manners !!) and, with the other drop-outs, I'm now with a "Hard Edge" of Four Player Characters. . .

    To "Try Out" a little better the Combat System (that is FAR from Perfect, but as Modiphius has selected an "Abstract Multi-Table Opposition System" rather than a "Diceless Comparison Charts" or other EQUALLY weird modern Rulesets. . .that's what We have !!) I planned a "Mock Battle" with the Player Characters trying out new Skills, New Talents and New Gear against friedly "Humandroid Drones" (cheap replicas of Karakuris, but Males and rather more "Chappie of Neill Blomkampf" than "Robo-Gynoid Geishas" !!) simulating a typical gang of "Teseum Smugglers / Ariadnan Outlaw Bandits". . .

    The idea is to have the Character employing "Live Ammo" (so that they could appreciate the effectiveness of new and improved Wargear on realistic enough "Physical Enemies" far more authenthic than the MEAGER "V.R. Training Facilities" of Planet Dawn could allow) while the opposition will employ "Taser Paintball" ammunition. . .

    The more they risks EVEN for TOTAL BOTCH Failures is some embarasing, but fleeting pain, while gaining valuable intel on their respective capabilities and Team-Building Exercise. . .

    If You and Your Players want to have a try at experimental rules this could be an Idea to help You too, without the Risk of a not-well comprehended Rule going against a specific Talent / Skill Usage / Piece of Gear ruining the whole session. . .

    Just My two cents. . . . .!!!

    Hey Steve, long time no see. Let's not get started on harassment, because this year's election has been tough on brazilians too. So I feel your pain, mate.

    Anyhow, what I want is something simple. Something I cant easily teach for players that won't even pickup the rulebook to read. Most of my regular group just wants to play, so if the game requires them to keep track of a lot of info they will lose interest fast.

    Yep, I think that Brazil had it THOUGH with the actual politic chaos. . .(and I say NO MORE because the Forum Moderators frown heavily on R.W. Politics !!). . .

    My Family Harassement is not of the USUAL kind. . . . .They could NOT CARE LESS if I sleep with Women, with Men or with Trans Tgirls (Done. . . Done. . .aaaaand DONE !!), but RATHER that I have to do the "Work" that THEY say. . .WHEN they Say. . .WITH THE PEOPLE that they Say . . .in the MANNER that they Say. . .to obtain WHAT they say !!

    Had to warn them that FURTHER harassement would result in ACTUAL Physical Violence from Me. . .and I'm a Gym Bodybuilder, a former Military Police Agent and a Martial Art expert. . . . .so they COMPRENSIBLY understood that sometimes "Bloodlines" does NOT mean "Slavish Adherence to a CLANNISH CASTE Ideal". . .

    . . . . .

    Aaaanyway. . .

    About a simpler "Infinity Combat Ruleset". . .

    Why not checking the Old Quickstart that is freely available on Drivethru and was the FIRST iteration of the Rule System by Modiphius. . .??

    Was the SIMPLEST barebones explanation of "Momentum Vs. Heat" with streamlined Weapons, Player Character and Foes. . .
